Well i fought one of these today, and damn it was a long fight; too long in fact that we called it off after 20mins. But the thing is, i dont know what more i could have done to waste him quicker other than just wait for him to run out of mind for healing. I kept my distance almost constantly, alternating between charge shot, root, and snare... i had him pretty much nailed in that respect. But with his cob and almost limitless heals he was a very powerful foe. So i'm just wondering if there should have been any particular tactic to take someone like this down. My action wasnt a problem as i was using a low sac nyms, and was alternating between leg shot, adv critical, ranged shot and rapid fire; and mix in the odd state just to piss em off. But cob really reduced the damage i was inflicted, add to that i think he must have used the health buff crystal to get 5500 health and his heals, it was a long fight.
So this is just a heads up on what seems to be a very nice melee template. But there must be a way to counter this and win.

Too bad we didn't get enough (hardly any) play testing to meet the design intent of duels lasting 1-3 minutes......
The CU just has a bunch of different broken things vs. pre-CU.....and it looks 'cooler'....

The only way I have found to get them down.. is a pistoleer and rifle delay sequence. They heal way too fast with no cost these days..
Once they nerf delays tho.. all will have to be 4000 in one of the 2 healer trees, like pre CU days and stim c's![]()

So they nerf Jedi healing someand boost non-Jedi healing ... and now it looks like they may have to nerf non-Jedi healing right back down...

I did the same. I'm MBH/MCarbs/4000CM. He was MDoc/TKM. We were at a constant stalemate. Neither of us did enough damage to hurt the other bad enough.

Heals arent the problem, I Cant heal for 1500 or Total heal for that fact. Its the Damned COB/Duelist Stance Why do THEY get such things and we dont? I mean, I thought Pistoleers were supposed to be the Duelers (Like RL).

TKM/Docs are plenty tough to kill. My duels with them usually end in draws because it just gets dull.

I dueled a melee/Doc yesterday, I think he was a TK but not sure about that anymore. Might haven't been a TKM yet I cant remember but I won.
Don't know exactly how I did, but I kept him at distance by kiting, snareing and Knockdown, but I think the key was, that he, as in the player, made an error thus not healing himself one time at the right time, in which I could land my chargeshot, knocking him down and then inflicting enough damage to incap him.
He can't heal when KD and he takes 20% more damage, so I would say it must have been that single shot that made the difference. Must have hit him, just before he wanted to heal from half his health to full health again, after which I could land several Legshots and advanced rapid fires, which took him out.
I still use advanced rapidfire, since it uses a different cooldown/recharge timer than legshot thus if you switch between them you can fire fast (as long as your action goes).
So referring to this particular duel experience, I would say save your Chargeshot for when you see his health going down to half, and try to Knock him down _just_before_ he would heal and then hit him as hard as you can.

Good advice on when to use the chargeshot, i was mainly using it to keep the bugger kited, but when they have a cob macro it's really difficult to hurt them thats for sure.

Possibly because they are meant to tank and a straight Pistoleer is not?

Been there as well, one thing i've found that works is that TKs tend to burn through action at an insane rate. If you wait till their action is nearly drained and kd them you have 3 to 4 shots before they have enough juice to recover.
It's the only way i've found to take one down quick.
