by carbines 3 on the novice marksman tree, i was able to kill 3 full grown fambaas all alone! But i had to buy a 1 million credit DH17 (it's way better than most of the laser carbines most you of guys have and i'll post a screenshot if you want).

It is likely a Kryat DH17, and they are nice, but lack on really important attribute alot of other carbines do, an Armour Peircing Value. They are great for PvE especially if you get a nice fast one

Why does every weaponsmith and non carbineer have a strange desire to waste krayt tissues on DH17s? For God's sake throw them on an E11 and get some AP at least.

/agreeI myself will always use laser carbs for the best ap, but they do lack a lil on ranged mods, and speed. But dh17's.......you'll never get one better than my laser carb....

Please tell me the stats on your Laser Carbine......ignoring AP my DH17 Short Carbine is the highest DPS weapon I have

Theone im usin now is 123-564 w a min/max powerup, 3.7 speed, I'm also up to +80 carb speed with attachments now....I've got 2 krayted snubnoses.....one is like 360 max....but like I said I usually need that ap, as I'm not fighting mobs without armor. When a snubnose hits a kd'd nightsister ranger for 5-6k I'll use it.

I use A Krayt DH17 in pvp... anyone that is stupid enought to come to me without armor doesn't stand a chance.. The Range mod is insane on it.. +71 ideal makes a huge difference...
With speed power... it's around 2.0 150-450
When it's time to hurt things... It's around 3.1 170-560

With CripplingShot you fire once every 1.85 seconds for a DPS of 1393.
My DH17 is just a hair over 2000 DPS

The DH17 will take a DPS hit against AR 1 armor, and if they're wearing a AR 1 PSG it gets hit again. The laser carbine will punch through both.

I dont use crippling shot ever, don't even have it hotkeyed the delay on that shot makes it useless.......I use scatter2,wildshot2,fas2,and faa2, thats it, and if you're tellin me a dh17 does better vs comp than a laser.....I could never believe that.

well i finally got master today, and i love cripple shot now. i can hit for 4k and with my laser, i love the AP2 for PvE

Hence I said ignoring AP/AR numbers......as we all know the limited selection of Carbines that we do have must be PROPERLY used
