Id like advice on wich carbinei should spend a **edit**load of money on,I dont think a laser carb because of mitigation, but what about the others? any advice?

It depends on the weapon
I've got a laser carbine (700+ max when pupped) that does more dps against mitigation3 opponentsthan my best elite carbine. I use it the most because when i come across a melee opponent, i enjoy smacking them with potentially 1300pts pre-armor damage

so pretty much any carbine with 700+ would kick some serious butt ya?

Most often here are the situations for your carbines,
Laser: Nice damage, but due to the wide spread of damage it should only be only used againist unmitigated oponents, unless it is of exceptional variety.
Elite: This will be your weapon against people with mitigation, the tighter spread is better in this situation.
DXR6: Some people have been using this instead of the elite, I have yet to be able to commment for I have yet to have a pvp grade one crafted.

Just got word in a PM that elites do almost full damage in PvP because the devs wanted people to use them more. If so a 400 damage elite would do more then a 6 or 700 laser carb ya?

Roughly:
a 100-700 laser carb has the same mitigated (lvl 3) damage as a 200-500 elite (think my new elite has stats around this).
But... the laser has AP2, compared to the Elite's AP1
(Both my personal weapons have similar ham and speed, so for me the laser is my bread+butter gun).

You know I have been playing this game several hours a day since day one and I guess I really do not understand how the mitigation works. I asked a guy once why he used his t21 in pvp (rifleman) and he said because of mitigation. Can anyone point me in a direction where I could read more about this, or take the time to explain what they know of the subject.

He's using it for the armor piercing otherwise the T21 is a truly sucky rifle for PvP. The accuracy on it is sucky. DXR-6B (bigger version of carbines) is better for PvP when facing stun protected opponents.

the DRX6 carbine is nice for both Pvp and Pve. A good one can have about same damage as an elite (just a bit less). But it is acid damage which PSGs are vulnerable to.
