Please discuss your good/bad testing and/or future plans for mixing other profs with Carbineer in the Combat Upgrade.

I've found(at least in Kodan's proffcalc) that TKM/MMarks/Carbineer works well. You only need +10 in aa's/ca's, and also the Innate Armor that you get is supposedly really good.

You entered all the profs into Kodan's ProfCalc?

And you can't know what SEA's are needed because we don't know where the speed caps are for the CU yet.

BTW, I do have Kodan's ProfCalc updated from before the CU hit TC though so mine is a touch out of date

I am planning on keeping my Teras Kasi Master/ Master Marksman/Master Carbineer template. Now, the question I have is: as long as I don't equip the armor, the TKM defensive benefits should still apply, right? This way you can attack and help from range but when it comes to close quarters combat yuo are pretty well protected.

Ironfox, Teras kasi Elder-Colonel, Imperial Army/ Inquisition Imperial Pilot Ace, Master Medic/Elder Medic

Always a Teras kasi at heart! Before the NGE I mastered the following: Master Marksman, Brawler, Medic, Teras Kasi, Doctor, Carbineer, Rifleman, Swordsman, Pikeman, Creature Handler, Bounty Hunter,

Correct....that is how the Devs have explained it. The Innate TK Defenses will be active no matter what weapon you have in hand as long as you have no armor equipped.

But at the same time, the Innate TK Defenses are not supposed to be that much greater than armor....but I am sure will be a bit better as the new role for TKA is tank, not damage dealer.

I'm using This webbased calc that is a bit slow. But I found it nicely updated.

ATM I'm Thinking aboute Master Carb/MBH with novice in pistoleer and rifleman to fill out. (or perhaps I'll go with surveying since battle surveyor might be a niche in the future)

When the frogs are let loose this might change, trying for real always beats sitting with a calc and watching the numbers.

Master Carbineer/Master Smuggler/pistoleer 4004

The biggest concern I have about this template is the effectiveness of the non-medic stims.

Yeah real shame that Calc doesn't match up with the Skill Trees as given to me by the Devs in the Corr Forum, but hell TC doesn't match with what the Devs told me either ROFLMAO

My point, for those that missed it, is I am as much in the dark as all of you now......only updates I get are via the Dev Tracker and NONE of the info posts for over a week have been anywhere but the public or CU forums. Not that I expect special treatment, it is just frustrating to be a Corr and get blind-sided by info release.....and my time to vent

As far as templates go, it looks even better now than on LIVE to pickup BH to pair with Carbineer......but I wouldn't underestimate the power of a mixed melee/ranged template just yet either

LOL... I guess we'll have to wait a bit more, until the CU has stabilized, before we can really build templates.

On the same topic, I noticed the calc I recommended all of a sudden no longer had skill descriptions. That's annoying.

I was thinking about Master Carbineer, Master Combat Medic, Medic 4-4-3-0 Scout 0-4-0-0. I can't resist: i like to throw Adhesive Mesh and Noise Makers on my targets, then attack them using Cripple Shot and Leg Shot, decreasing their movement speed and their accuracy! This template also gives me a decent healing ability, andan excellent healing range.

Another skill configuration could be Master Carbineer, Master Combat Medic, Pistoleer 0-4-0-4: i can't throw any trap, I can't be a good healer, but I gain General Accuracy and General Defence.

The first solution is perfect for PVE, the second for PVP. Still didn't decide...
