Thread: Absolute Cap on Carbine Accuracy

ok, help me if i'm way off base here, but at MBH/MC i have 200 carbine accuracy - i've been considering buying a +18 carbine accuracy AA, but at what point does it become superfluous? or, does it just keep stacking?

thanks!

18 on top of 200 is just a 9% bonus. If you can afford it, go for it, but remember that foods like SnowCake add ~40% to attack accuracy, which would render the +18 addition minimal compared to it. I personally recommend that all Carbineers, if possible, use SnowCake.

I mean, SEAs are always nice, and as far as an "effective" cap goes, I'd place it at around 250 or so. Beyond that, you're just imagining things as far as better accuracy goes, because it's pretty much solely dependent on your opponent's dodging/blocking/etc skill.

So yeah, I'd guesstimate at 250ish. You can get that through SEAs or just use Citros Snowcake.

ok, i'm hoping a master carbineer (or other knowledgable chap) can confirm my thinking on this for me -

  • at MBH/MC i get 200 Carbine Accuracy

  • AdmiralSpy said he believes this tops out at about 250

  • if i'm using 42% Snowcake, then this gives me an accuracyboost of around 84,

  • i'm now at 284 Carbine Acuracy, so i've now surpassed the 'accuracy ceiling' and am maxed on accuracy

SO! my question is simply, does this seem right? I'm really hesitating to buy a +18 Accuracy AA that's currently for sale on Gorath as, by my reckoning, i just don't need it and won't get ANY benefit from it.

am i doing my math wrong?

Personally anything above +200 Carbine Accuracy is a waste.....I have seen people just over +200 have no problem hitting a basic Defense Stacker.

Remember Saber Block has nothing to do with Accuracy

And when it comes to Carbineer PvP, Addy is THE Expert.

wonderful, wonderful, thank you both for your answers

(and Saber Block seems to have nothing to do with ANYTHING except frustrating us BH's)

and, this has just saved me up to 9 million credits for that AA (which I'll now spend on snowcake for the placebo-effect it gives)

I wouldn't buy it unless the armor you plan to use it on is in an ADK anyway. That's a lot of money for anything else.

Yeah. In the end, you really have to weigh your budget. If you're an avid user of SnowCake then I'd invest those credits into getting yourself a great Krayt weapon, as it would prove to be more useful than an accuracy boost.

Very true and that brings up a point at least I haven't looked into.....can you get enough Carbine Accuracy to negate Blind? Well that is a tough one to answer and quite frankly my testing motivation on LIVE is very small

oh, i'm a complete snowcake junkie, i have a few crates of 42% stuff that i shove into my gullet at every given opportunity - but i guess the ~250 mark is what i was waiting to hear - i think i'll still get this to put into a mabari shirt i have to max out my carb abilities, but at 200 +42% it's less essential than i thought.

thanks for the answer
