I see alot of posts regarding inflation in the game and I wonder if prices have really increased?
I don't think so
Crafted goods:
I've been crafting sinceI started playing and have been stocking my weapons vendor over a year now and I'm still sellingweapons for the same prices I was back then.
Armour is cheaper than it was a year ago (I remember paying 6-10k a piece for my Chitin when I started and suits of Composite were 750k for a good deal)
Architect structures are cheaper
Droids likely haven't changed
Tailor, no change
Chef, not sure, there was major changes to the profession over the year to make their product more useful so an increase would be justified but I doubt there was.
Spices are cheaper
Doctor buffs were 6-8k and are now 12-15k they are also of greater quality now.
Loot is more expensive(isn't that funny that most of the people complaining about inflation are the ones collecting the loot
Game systems
Structure maintenance: no change
Travel fees: no change or decrease for all you JTLSers
Training fees: no change
In general I see that prices have stayed the same or decreased, there is no inflation.
So why do you have no money?
Here's why, because your expectations have increased which has increased your expenses.
Everyone wants Krayt weapons / the best armour / the best buffs, stuff that was a treat for special occations before is now expected on a regular basis.

IN general, I'd agree. I don't see economy wide inflation.
Chef prices did jump up after the initial chef revamp. INitially foods were in high demand and supply couldn't keep up. But since then I think prices have crept back down as supply increased. Just my impression, I"m not a chef though.

The one good thing towards money making is space. 200k an hour if you shoot Tier 3 ships for that hour, sometiimes more depending on how many you kill. The solo group nerf really hurt the grinders that need to grind and get cash at the same time. Unnerf the solo group!

I think prices are still the same I wish they would drop tho...but it's kinda hard to make money nowb/c of solo nerf thing...And doc prices seem like theyare getting higher. Shouldn't prices be decreasing?

I would say prices haven't realy gone up. If they have gone up its because that better resources were used crafting them.
Weapon prices have been very much the same on Eclipse since 2003, as an example, I would say

On my server, Starsider, I don't see inflation, at the contrary. There are way less players then before so prices tend to go down a bit (with the exception of doctor buffs and rare loot).

you can still make 300k-500k a buff, most people are so lazy they can't work 2-3 buffs for rare high end items. Sad really

You seem to dismiss the increasing price for loot, but dont forget that everyone would like a chance to get some of it. And if you are not a fighter, getting a WS or AS experimentation tape is going to be really hard....unless you have tens of millions of credits.
That is the minimum standard anyone must meet is they want to be able to experience a competitive crafting game for those profs that have in-demand tapes. And what about the various tissues, cubes, and combat tapes? These are all the purvue of those who have the money to afford them. These are al out of the reach of the casual or standard player.
Yes, there has been inflation. T-21's that sold 9 months ago for 30k are now selling for 80k, and the quailty might've gone up 10%. Armor has gone up and come down in that time, up to a cool million for a full suit to 300k for the 3 or 4 piece suit used now. These 2 items best represent the 2 professions that see the most demand for their product. Have all weapons or armor gone up? No. Do all weapons or armor get used? NO! In practice, those items that have the most use have gone up. And the only reason why is because there is more money in the game and people are able to and willing to pay more. Harvesters cost the same to operate today as they did 9 months ago.
Is inflation a bad thing? Only if there is a group of people who can not keep up with it, and find themselves unable to get to a level where they can participate. This is a game. While I do expect people to have to work for those extra perks, the fact is that uber-crafted goods are the norm thanks to lot swaps bringing in billions of resources a week and fleets of factories. This "norm" cannot be achived by everyone in a decent timeframe...yes, eventually anyone can afford to get a T-21. But its a game, and waiting a month to get that uber gun is unreasonable, IMHO.
I think the solutions are already being put in place. The solo-group fix was a great step in the right firection. In about 6 months, we might start to see its effect on the game economy. The CU will also reduce a single players earning capacity due to the fact that combat wont have an "I win" button very soon.

Here is the thing the best resorces used to go for 10cpu, now i've sold meat for 75-100cpu. The cost of the avg. item has gone down. But the cost of high qual. goods has gone through the roof

I was going to say the same thing. When I started out as a scout high quality meat was about 12cpu, now that I dont have scout its sold for 100-150cpu. I can tell you how it happened too. As soon as the high quality meat (1000OQ avian) dropped for the first time there was a doctor who wanted to monopolize on it and offered 100cpu. The prices never dropped

Yes the price for meat has gone up. I agree with that. I would assume that is the case on all servers. Demand keeps strong since its used for doc stuff and BE tissues for chef foods. But supply is pretty constrained since it takes manual time intensive work to harvest. I think meat is an exception to the normal trend.
Prices for the very rare loot which has strong demand has gone up gradually as some people amass more wealth and have nothing to spend it on. High end 'luxury' items are not a commodity and these prices are primarly driven by demand. There will always be rich people who can and will pay a lot for the best loot.

being on Farstar, doc buffs are dropping in price, from the max 25K they were claiming its going down between 15K-18K and may drop later aswell.
the new goods dropping now seems to be getting stupid prices by people who don't know head or tail on thoese goods and there are stupid people who will pay the amount of money for it, as long as we have thoese stupid people, prices will be oddish and when they finaly leave we many see more consildare prices.
