Hi, Anyone else get annoyed as Frek when you see somone spammin in a starport that there vendor at x, y has loot on it and you can find anything you need, only to go to the vendor and find it empty? Or are you tired of comming up on a vendor opening it up only to find its empty?

Here are some solutioins..

1. When a vendor is empty have the name of the vendor turn Red, so players can see before opeing it that its empty..

2. Remove Empty vendors from the world map. and over head map

3.Have the matinance (or how ever avendor is payed for) increase by 500%, insentive to restock or remove thevendor

They already remove empty vendors from the world map.

And if it remains empty for too long then the vendor is deleted.

I've noticed alot of players placing vendors with one item priced at 999,999,999.

Why anyone is still grinding merchant is something I don't understand.

Maybe its to get merchant XP for conversion to force sensitive XP?

The conversion rate is good 4:1, but even busy vendors are only going to get 20-30k exp per day; 5-6k FS exp isn't much at all. Like 204 days per line

Is the world map what controls what you see when useing the radar map? There have been a few times where I have driven passed a "Mall" see a vendor that looks like it might be intresting Gone in to check it out and its been empty.

Its good that empty vendors are eventually deleted, but, I still think some kind of notice should be given to people so they don't waist there time going from empty vendor to empty vendor.

Cry4dawn ... Well EXCUSE ME... it looks fine to me when I'm typing it into the text box.. I guess you need stuff THIS BIG to read it.. Lean how to offer constructive critisism without comming off as a jerk.

your idears are valid - jate my self having to travel around checking the overlay map (corolag anyone ? ) but not to forget thoese small buisness with no merchant 4XXX skill, it can be a very hard task - a vendor notifaction itself could be usefull, as sugessted a vendors name marked in red or anything alike.

PS: reading the first posting, i had to mouse mark every sentence and get my eyes 10 cm from the screen before i could read em, rember many of us are using the default forum display and thus colours can be hard to read, the front used in your next posting are a bit too high, a number inbetween would be great, in a white colour.

The problem is that at novice merchant a vendor can hold 500 items.

Players are useing vendors as loot storage the 1 backpack example. Here are the solutions.

Give the master crafters an item sell bonus. Say 200 items plus the ability to place a vendor. Make every box in merchant give an added 100 items. Remove the vendors from business three entirely. Either you go merchant or you do not get a vendor.

Put a price cap on vendors that do not have a master crafting profession. So that if nimrod a decides to use vendors for storage and he has a price cap of 80k guess what. Is he going to risk loseing a 3mil clothing attachment no. Masters would have no cap.

Deny players the ability to place filled containers on a vendor. So they cannot hide which one has the real loot. One slot one item.

Increase the xp payout for bizarre over player vendors.

Make a vendor item non withdrawable until the sale ends. This means people better be wanting to sell the item because they aint getting it back till the sale ends.

This would solve ninety percent of the problems. You have pricecaps and no backpacks denying players safe storage. You move it to merchant or master crafter, and player has to spend points for free storage.Either in novice merchant or master crafter. At which point they have to wonder is it worth spending the points for novice merchant since I am not serious about selling things. You make it so the vendor cannot be open ended storage and players will eventually get tired of not being able to get at their stuff.

Us architects - damn I dropped it - them there architects, are campaigning for increased space in houses as well as larger resource stacks. 500k maximum stacks would free up a LOT of space and database load. The more space we have the better in my opinion. Factory crate sizes should also be increased as per the ever popular "ore mining unit" problem. Ore mining units DO NOT stack into crates. Archies get through loads of these and they takes up massive amounts of space needlessly. It's kind of starnge when you can fit 25 swoops in a small wooden box but you can't fit an ore mining unit in one.
