Just wanted to get everyones opinion on what they think the best professions will bring a character great credits after the upgrade hits. I have been asked for advice on what folks should become to make good money without having to be in space. Weaponsmith? Resources? I did not want to give the wrong answer so I ask for all to chime in with their thoughts. TY

The best way to grind cash after the CU will be in space. Either grinding space destroy missions, or maybe mining asteroids.

Selling loot might also be good, but it will likely be a lot harder to do since you won't be able to solo krayt dragons and NS Elders anymore.

JTL is a good money spinner but ROTW will be a bigger one for any adventure types out there. SWG is for da crafters

NDA means i can't say anything much but RoTW gives a lot of intresting money makin systems for non crafters.

For all the non crafters out there who have been ripped off on everything from weapons to armor now is the time of our revenge For all the little craftes who need bodyguards to go out and collect their materials and harvesters, may now need to pay a heavy price

For all of the crafters out there now is the time for our revenge!! Make all of your shops private and don't provide any crafted items to anybody!

LMAO! First off, no crafter is going to hire bodyguardswhen they go tocheck their harvestors, no matter how dangerous it is. And secondly, even if we did, we'd just mark up the price of our goods to compensate, so you'd still be paying for it. Have fun paying more for crafted goods.

Funny you say that. My policy, so far, on all crafting has been to charge what I paid into it with a 2-10% markup, depending on the popularity of the item (simple capitalism). I'm geeky enough to keep spreadsheets on the resources I buy and items I make with them.

So if I have to pay combat templates to escort me while dropping harvestors, so be it. That might be a market that makes itself, but pricing for that will even out as well. And those prices will go into my spreadsheets as well.

Edited because, evidently, I cannot tell the difference between a $ and a %

Depends on how viable all the new weapons and templates are. If they are very viable, the renewed interest in other templates will require many more weapons being purchased. I'm not sure how armor will work out. BE will probably rise, but we'll see about that. It's really hard to judge what will bring in the most credits. Even after the CU, existing stocks will have be used to really gauge the market.

I also think harvesting resources will make more money after the CU. My alt can harvest fairly well now, but with no real combat skills per se, buffs being nerfed, and now no armor, he'll have to pay for decent meats and hides from now on.
