Thread: Shouldn't have to compete with players that quit

When a player cancels their account, all their vendors should become inaccessable, removed from the planet map and removed from the bazaar network. All of their harvesters should be removed from the world and put in their bank, if there is room.

There should also be a character purge to free up some real estate, but that's another subject.

Don't make the players compete with the quitters.

What difference does it make? The vendors still don't show item descriptions. Give me a break, this is a game breaking bug that is two weeks old.

if a player wuits there stff will only show on the bazaar fro a maximum of 30 days after they have wuit, so really it is a non-issue.

The bigger issue in competing with players that are leaving is how cheap they are selling items for, hard to meet or beat clearance prices and so many are leaving people have their pick of inexpensive items ranging form clothing to houses to weapons, etc.

Too bad you aren't on Corbantis.

It would be nice if old houses of players that quit long ago would burn down instead of being 'condemned'. This would open up real estate around the popular areas for loyal customers. SOE won't do this though, because they want to make it as easy as possiblefor people to come back to the game. If your house burns down and you lose all your stuff, you are less likely to want to come back to SWG.

"Jedi claims of being "broken" are like saying "But my TV isn't widescreen! It's broken! My TV can't show high-def pictures in 1080i, it can only do 720i! It's broken!" Meanwhile, crafters are saying "We'd really like to have a TV that's larger than 12" and gets more than 4 channels and doesn't constantly lose vertical control", and entertainers are saying "Can we get some color instead of this B&W piece of junk?" And smugglers? We're listening to radio programs of "The Shadow" and "The Abbot and Costello Comedy Hour" and hearing FDR's Fireside Chats. We don't even HAVE a damn TV, much less a broken one or a "broken" one by Jedi standards. I'd LOVE to be as "broken" as they are." - The Legendary Solo4114

No matter what side you argue, you have to agree players that quit's vendors and houses are a problem. SOE needs to address this issue, because the current system dealing with thisis not enough. They have said they plan to do something, suprisingly it wasn't added on JTL or ROTW. Sorry i don't know the specifics but I just cant recall them.

If a player cancels their account the max number of days their vendor will stay stocked is 30 so that really isn't that big of a deal. Also, if people are leaving the game and selling items for rock bottom prices then buy those items yourself and sell them for your price.

I agree, a condemed house should go back into your inventory or destroyed if a account has been canceled. Even if you have administartors paying for it.

what about people who have to take a break for rl issues? cancelation of the account shouldn't be enough to remove deeds to inventory.

SOE guarantees 3 months before they may or may not wipe your character and people do have to quit for breaks for illness, unemployment or one relatively common thing i've seen, military deployment.

a 30 day cut on vendors is reasonable but buildings and the like should get their guaranteed 3 months at the least, so long as someone is paying the maintenance
