I'm a Master Marksman and medic, BH 0020, novice pistolier, scout 4040, and 3444 Rebel Pilot on the Radiant server. I've been playing off and on since they game came out, but have never seemed to get a hang of how to make good money. The most I have ever seen was 700,000 which I made doing space missions (then I spent half of that on new shields and a new a new capacitor ). Can I get any suggestions on what I should do or where I can go to make money, or any tips about getting combat experience fast?

well your combat skills are more than adequate, i would recommend findout out what docs and chefs are looking for in terms of meat. being a doctor myself, the best money can be made in gathering Avian meat, usually 50+ cpu depending on quality and server. sometimes as high as 150, i've seen some of the big servers go to 400 but not on mine.

hit your trade boards to see who wants what, get some "Veghash", and go kill some stuffs, get some meats, and there ya go

I agree with pirico, getting avian meat is one way of making good money... Our server had two spawns of good avian meat in a row, and some of it got up to 200cpu... Seeing as you are 4/0/4/0 scout, that will help just as well... even getting a droid with creature harvesting 109 would yield a bit more than you could harvest (unless you have veghash, and i never tested it that way).

Are you using your available lots for anything? If not you should be putting them to use gathering resources to sell. You also shouldn't be having much trouble making credits in space if you are selling your loot to the chassis dealer, you could easily make 100k an hour just selling back space loot.

Another way is to sell hides to armorsmiths. I was always in desire of some, and I paid good money for most of them.

As a doctor, also on Radiant, this is the first page I visit before jumping into the game:
http://www.iootnega.com/medresources/medicalresources.asp?server=Radiant

This page automatically polls SWGCraft.com and pulls a list of all the resources that are currently spawned on the server and highlights the good ones.

If you want to profit off gathering meat, it's easy with this info.

First, for avian meat, we're mostly interested in OQ/PE (Overall Quality/Potential Energy). OQ of 900+ and PE of 800+ at a minimum. Secondly, we look at DR (Decay resistance). While most of us docs will buy stuff with low DR, if DR is 500+, it's also good. It's sort of the same for Herbivore Meat, focusing on OQ of 900+, PE of 500+.

So, looking at current spawns, you might do ok if you got some Dathomir Avian Meat (Nalcheg). It's not great, but a newer doc would pay around 5-10cpu for it, and it drops fast. Also, Endorian Herbivore Meat (Asaroo) is worth around 20-50cpu depending on the doc you go to, or if you sell it on trade forums

Hope this helps!

EDIT: Forgot to mention, we like BIG stacks. For herb meat, try for at least 16k or so. Avian, 10k+

These guys are right on.

The best thing that someone did for me after a few months was let me in on this information. I pulled 10k Avian and sold it at 150 cpu with a 15 cpu bonus for 10k or higher stacks..... $1,650,00.00

Now in order to do this I watched the trade forum and saw what the current good spawn was. From there I was able to get better equipment and did not have to count the pennies as close.

Also, not sure if you were heading towards doc or not. If not then you could surrender it down to 2-0-4-0 and put those points into rifleman, pistoleer, or carbines. The extra combat skills would make the hunting that much easier.

Also... keep having fun.

Thanks for the help. I was actually planning on dropping medic down since I ground it for a holocron I got for the first life day. When you guys look to hunt some good avian meat, do you find missions who's targets drop it (and get mission payouts) or do you just camp locations and sacrifice the payouts for a higher quantity of harvested meat?

missions or camping depends on what planet has what you are looking for and if you can get the mission and how much meat you can get off each critter type

to find out what meat you can get off what animals there are some sites for that...swgcreatures.com has this informationand has maps showing where some static spawns are located in case you do decide to camp

lastly for an all out meat gathering thing, get some veghash if you can find it, its a food that increases your harvesting so you get more meat faster

good luck

If you qualified for the 90 day reward (the 30k crate of resources), you should be able to sell that (the unused deed) for aroun 10 mil. The docs love getting 30k of the BEST avian on the server all at once

Also, the anti-decay kits, if you're not using yours (1 year reward), can also be sold. Jedi love these to keep their precious glow-sticks in top working condition. Again, I've herd prices of around 10 mil for these.

On a daily basis, and when I say this I mean in a 3 hour "buff" time period, I make 100,000 credits. Now, that is perfectly fine for the time being; I am able to grind and get my skills up and whatnot, but it irks me that I have to be reliant on others persay.

Just today I buffed on Dantooine, and then hit up the rebel weapons cache on Talus with another who had buffed the same time as me. Upon myself telling this particular player about my daily income, or lack thereof, he gave me 1,000,000.

Now, that is perfectly fine in what he did; donations are always welcome in regards to as long as it is voluntary, and specifically to me, heh. But as the day went on, I found myself spending this money on things I needed/wanted; I bought a new geo blaster, paintings, furniture, etc. I also took this rather large sum of cash, and spent it on a guild member who needed armor, for he had none. I bought him a 180,000 unsliced composite set; not the best in the world, but far better than nothing.

I drive outside of my house in Corellia, down to Coronet, and all I see are lines and lines of players who pay these doctors 10-15k a pop for a simple 3 hour euphoria. Now as I said, I make 100,000 credits in these 3 hours, and more often than not, that is all I will make in a 24-hour period. This sum is divided up between my house payment, constant fixing of vehicles, and my recently purchased harvester/wind generator, which to be honest, I do not know what in the hell I am doing with, along with the purchasing of foods, like V-Brandy, Snowcake, etc.

Then I read on these forums of people making huge sums of cash in a very short amount of time, and exponentially greater then what I have ever seen, and indeed make. The thing for me is, I cannot follow the trodden path of many on these boards; I am a novice pistoleer/commando, for that is what I find fun; nuking a rebel with a rocket launcher than hearing the "wooooooo" of my geo blaster as I doubletap. I can't learn any skills outside of pistoleer/commando because of the skill point cap, and I do not wish to lose any of my skills so that I can simply make money. Does anyone out there have any idea that could possibly help me?

As a nov pistol/commando with no scout skills, you are a bit limited.

You could faction grind, and sell the faction to needy guilds that are looking to pick up some bases.
Not sure what your damage output is on some of the higher end stuff like Nightsisters and Lord Nyax. If it's decent enough that you can solo them, you might try that. A couple lances (even base) some shards, and the cr from them is decent. Sometimes the sisterhood drops 1k cr/kill, and Nyax, well, he drops very nice SEAs at a decent clip.
Harvesting is available to everyone. I have no artisan skills, and simply run a pair of static harvs on Naboo by my house. I never move them, I just switch them to whatever's in highest concentration. Then, I take the resources they gather and sell them off for around 2-3cpu (depending on quality) on the Theed Bazaar. I usually have to restock daily with 6k cr lots. That makes around 149,500cr a day, for doing nothing really.
You can be a 'fense', in other words, troll the bazaar for really good deals and resell the stuff. It doesn't take long to start finding loot schems for 200cr, then reselling them for 1k. I've also happened upon adhesives and the like doing this, which I turn around and sell for 30k-100k (depending on what I find).

You kinda have to look around a bit, but it's possible to find decent money oppertunities
