Well let's just start off by saying I'm not effected by the solo-group nerf. i only ever joined the group to get more xp so I never pulled up missions on the terms to make millions. So here's a list of what I do to make the creds that sit in my accounts.
My characters Gout, Ty'ler and Corpse are all rangers and make their creds by selling resources. I've been a ranger for over a year and know pretty well what professions need what and who is willing to pay a decent amount for what I collect. The biggest one is avian meat for docs. good meat can fetch 100-400 cpu depending on what server you play on.
My characters Pelican, Septic and Greyface sell various loots. I'm not some l337 uber kiddie so I can say that I've never even seen Lord Nyax. flew by his poi once and saw like 15 blue dots in it. figured there must be some loot camping love fest going on so I kept going. Plus being unbuffed at the time probably wasnt a wise choice either.
At one point about a year ago I used to be a master smuggler and sliced for my creds. On average I would make 100-300k a day. Not bad when you don't have many expenses.
The way I see it, the only people that need millions of credits anyways are the pvpers so they can get the best overpriced gear. I don't pvp so I just need average supplies and not a lot of em. On the 5 servers I play on only 1 character has a house. The rest of my characters live in banks or in their ships.

As I mentioned in another thread, I make a pretty good living as a Master Pilot. I think I can make 100k pulling T4 duty missions a night and that's only a few hours for me having a day job and a life. It's also a good way to pull FP if you're so inclined (2-4k over the same period if you don't get jumped by bandit PvPers but a bit less money unless your duty missions are also Faction based not neutral). Aside from that, Iused to makereally good money surveying and pulling up resources. If you stay on top of it there's no better low effort way of making a living. Just keep an eye on what's available and make some contacts who need regular supplies. Or, for reaaaaally low maintenance harvesting just focus on energy farming and dump it on the market in Coronet. There's always a buyer sooner or later and those fusion generators don't require, obviously, energy to run.
Setting up harvesters or the occasional duty missions are probably the best way for folks with real lives to make enough money to get by. You may not get super rich really fast but...do you really need uber krayt Legendary bling to have fun?

Very early on I decided that grinding missions to earn cash was A) boring and B) undesirable. So I started selling power to earn cash, and later got into Weaponsmithing. I now sell grenades by the crate, and I'm doing pretty well. When the Devs finally get around to nerfing the grenade-combat-xp-fast-road-to-Jedi method, I'll find something else to craft to earn money.

one character makes money by killin offpeople and doing missions...if i group up it is for the extra experience and hide, or better people missions...i like going to tuskan riders or canyon cosairs...
for my crafters i try and sell food and ships...so it goes in phases...so my combat character is my money maker

Like some others, I've never used missions as a money source, like Slim said, Radioactive power is a huge market. Slap down 30 or so Fusions and the money rolls in with a small overhead and hardly any time spent on it.
Drop,
Pay,
Turn on.
Wait a week
Empty, bam. Couple mil in your pocket.

I was quite the prosperous pearl/crystal merchant up until the nerf. Now i am making some descent money off phase I remedies. I also do ok selling random stuff that i have already looted and am storing. I just re-activated my merchant character, and i must say, having my own vendor is totaly the way to go. I can store a ton more stuff, and it takes little effort at all to make money after i have the goods. Just put them up on the vendor, and look at the e-mails every morning.

The bad thing about selling resources anymore is that people can just go and use the vet reward to get 30k of the best stuff to ever spawn. Like avain meat used to go for about 400-500 cpu on intrepid, but now it goes for really cheap, because doc's can get 30k stacks for free.

Ok, here's the thing about these forums. I've seen 500 messages talking about how good or bad the nerfing of the solo missions was. Either way about it. It's done. It may change but at this point it's not.
So, the question is:
To all the people that use mission grinding for cash,
How are we making money these days?
Use this forum to post your money making alternatives.
ex. - How do I find people that are buying resources?
ex. - How do I know which resources are hot and which are not?
ex. - Loot drops?
ex. - Making your own vendor? (Good idea or not?)
Help each other out folks. Now go complain on the other posts. We've got to figure this out.

Well, Heres some tips.
To find a buyer, go to the Auction Tab and advertise or just go to Coronet or Naboo. If you are in a guild and you have Crafters, they will be in need of certain resources. Once you have a good buisness with someone you can ask them "Hey, is there anything specific that you need"? You can also look on your Server's Trade Forums, that helps.
Looting will always be in the economy and up untill recently, the prices have been near a set price. (Ex: Pearls are a couple million a peice). But with recent loot rates bugged or changed, the pearls have dropped from about 6+ million per to about 2 million per.
The Vendor Idea, it can be a hassle and it can help. If you are a PvP Player and loot really rare items you will most likely have a better chance at selling it on the forums. If you are a Master Architect or ArmorSmith, then you can create multiple vendors (Ex: Houses, Furniture, Harveters, Components, etc) Vendors require skill points (To have 1 vendor with 150 items you will need Buisness III in the Artisan Tree. The more vendors and item limit you want the higher you have to go in the Buisness tree and eventually into the Merchant Tree where you can learn advanced ways of advertising (Ad Barking, Planetary Map, etc).
Overall, you can find out what the going rate for anything is with a little time and research. Not everything is game and the Trade Forums are EXTREMELY HELPFUL.

Here is a suggestion on making easy money:
You know all of those resources that sell for 6K in stacks of 2K?
Get some resources that Doctors need, and sell stacks of 2K for 6K creds each. Max out your number of auctions, and replace them each day.
Doc's look for high OQ, so your best bet would be to find some:
Lokian Wild Wheat
Domesticated Oats
Talusian Water Vapor
Vegetable Fungus
Tatooinian Fiberplast
Titanium Aluminum
Copper
With high OQ.
They will sell like freakin hotcakes, and at 3 cpu!

One thing that I have begun doing for the cobat characters in my guild is I have set up loot vendors for them, they just offer anything to the vendor that they want to sell for 1 credit I buy it and price it for them and when it sells I give them 80%. They are making a killing since I have started doing this for them. The 2 that I am doing it for have both madeabout 5-10 million in the last month or 2, and these are 2 guys that have been perpetually poor since launch. They also love it cause it is clearing out teh inventories of there houses, one guy is happy that he can cut down to one house now.
Another thing I do as a crafter I give people money for the use of their lots, I will give them 7k per week perlotif they dont have to move any harvesters and I pay them a bonus of 10k per lot whenever I need them to move something. I
And lastly I pay people upto 10-100 CPU(Depends on quality)for wooly hide for my wife(Master AS).
I also will buy all krayt tissue/Yellow cubes/Acklay bone/Gorax bonethat anyone I know brings me ingame, granted I dont pay a crazy amount generally I offer about 80% current market value, but it is a gaurnteed sale immediatly.
None of these will make you super rich but they can all help you get by comfortably, and I am sure that you can work these deals out with someone on your server.

I get 95% of my profit from JTL and the other 5% would be from loot. I find that kinda funny because I am a Master Artisan!!
