Good point. Have you taken in consideration that for many new players it is their first shot at a mmorpg? It is my first. Now after 10 weeks I am "seeing the light" of what you are saying, BUT.........for those first weeks I was excited about moving up the ladder, but frustrated for not knowing how. Think about someone like me who knew nothing about these forums for help, someone who had not yethad the honor of being in a guild yet. Admit it:i can't speak for all mmorpg's because this is my first one, but this game lacks direction badly. That is where those people's frustrations come in. Once they get into a guild and learn how to make money they change their outlook just as i have. Of course you were a noob too, but it seems that you have forgotten the mind blowing task of taking this game and making it work for you. There are so many options, so many decisions. That is what makes the game great. I used to be one of those "whiners". I posted one of your so-called hand-me,gimme,want it all now posts. But what you are missing is that those people don't WANT

Have you posted one of these rants? Who does post these?
The only people I see posting these are players that would spend time crying about not being rich, in a fake world no doubt, ratherthen goingout, finding a way to, andearning their fake gold. (Yes, I did make a post askingthe question,"Is capitalism the right way to go is swg?" but I was just trying to provoke an interesting conversaion, with I most certainly did, as well as many 1-star ratings)
This game has SO many ways to make credits, non of them hard. New player? Harvest, gamble, roll dice in the cantina, (yes, I did this when I was new [at launch] and made fifty thousand every few days, hundreds of thousands in today's markets) are just a few. Looting, crafting, hell, even an advertiser or event promoter has a bankroll worthy of a nod.
"Well this is just a stupid rant, [it is] besides, why don't you see any 12pt. smiths saying this? Because they are loaded!"
Yeah, and I wonder why? Ok, I'm thinking here...maybe, just maybe, the billionaires of SWG made money by getting off the forums, rolling up their digital sleeves, and getting to work, not wishing they had millions.
Can't pay for an item? Don't buy it, chances are you don't need it.
No price caps,
No bank caps,
No free interest
No handouts.
No one gets anywhere by ranting on the forums. Why am I not practicing what I preach? I'm content with my (fake after all, remember kids, its a game) financial state, and don't care how much Mr. Weaponsmith has.

I once (in game) told a beggar to go do missions instead of annoying people by asking for credits and was told that the missions weren't worth his while because the pay out was less than 1k per. I find it as annoying on the forums when people whine about not having enough credits when there are so many ways to earn them in game. So what if the missions only pay out 1k or less for a newbie? Do 10 and there's nearly 10k right there. Do enough and your skills grow until they start paying more. I earned every single credit my characters have either by doing missions, selling stuff or providing someone with a service.
My second account started out as a "Buddy" account and I had originally not planned on having 2 accounts, so just before my free use of it ran out, I stripped the character on that account of everything, right down to her survival knife. When I finally did get my second account, I logged in with that character. The town where I had logged her out was gone and she was out in the middle of no where on Tatooine with the nearest POI being the Krayt Dragon Graveyard. I walked her to the next town and took a delivery mission from an NPC I found there... then walked to Bestine to complete that mission. This gave me enough credits to buy a weapon and Istarted doing combat missions. Today, that character has a comfortable ammount in her bank account. She would no doubt have even more if I were to actively pursue earning credits with her.
It's NOT THAT HARD to get somewhere in this game!

I agree.
The people who complain about inflation are probably the same people who complain about having 'no luck' in real life either.
We all started with a melon and a CDEF - some people have worked to get their money, some people haven't.
It is just like real life

When I started playing this game, I have 1k of credits I believe. When I got rescued by an veteran player and got tipped 50k I went through the roof, me (and 5 friends who started playing too) bought all the equipement we needed and could afford from the Bazaar. And I bought an X34 Landspeeder, man I was pimping that thing for the first few weeks
Right now when a New player starts this game (and when they have been reading around) all the do is ask for a Scythe (they don't even have 1 mastered proffession or 1 single Badge). And they start harassing when they don't get one for 500 credits. They say you have 5 on your vendor so you can give me one, because you are rich??
I work hard for my (fake) cash, but I really enjoy it that way. And I can't keep it in my Pocket Anyway, I usally spend it all in 10 minutes lol
I once had 20 mil, and I bought all resources for it, I ended up with just 10k left

Unfortunatley there's some people out there thinking it's the responsibility of the rich to run a virtual soup kitchen for the newbies/poor. No one owes them squat, so they can all piss off.
I remember when I started out, doing survey & delivery missions every spare minute I could find to feed my small personal harvesters. Little by little I worked my way up as a tailor, selling 2k backpacks and 3k dusters on the bazaar. I found an apprenticship working for the legendary Maggie May, I worked my butt off to help her keep her shop supplied with the fast-selling non-master items- it was a job that paid well, it was hard work but it was worth it. She was nice enough to lend me a 3 medium harvesters until I could afford my own. Eventually I scrounged up enough cash for a larger shop in a better location, and equipment upgrades- I returned the borrowed equipment from maggie.I quit tailor a few months after mastering it, and became an armorsmith. Since I'd been a "resource-whore" and stashed away the server's best for so long I didn't have to wait around to make the profession switch.
Then I quit the game, sold my resources and gave most of the profits to my buddies who were staying. Then I came back. With most of my resources andhard-earned-cashgone, I couldn't produce armor. My hands were tied,so I had to try something new. I started to collect whatever good resources spawned and then switched to SW. I am steadily earning my former fortune back- hard work pays off.
All this without the support of a guild. All this without begging. Without asking for hand outs, wthout anyone supplying me with the millions of resources needed for my business ventures. Some small favors from your friends go a long way, but you don't need to have anything handed to you on a sliver platter to have a chance.
This is why I dislike the poor who complain that I have more then them, and that it's impossible to work one's way up from newb to rich b@stard with the current system of game mechanics. I look at my own experience in the game and say "What exists is clearly possible. What's your excuse?"
So here's some 5-stars to all you self-made multi-millionaires out there.
