I like the idea. I would love to be able to sell anything in a central area, not have to worry about vendors and not have a limit (like what it is today) on price and quantity on the bazaar.

BAZAAR
Its useful to have around in each of the main cities, but how much does it actualy get used. When i first started playing SWG and credits were hard to come by i found it really useful for selling anything i looted or stumbled accross at a cheap price. Now i never use it, dont find any use for it really, what would people say to actualy having3 or4 section within the bazaar. ie what we have now from 0-6k then maybe 6-100k, 100-500k, 500-1 Mill and so on.
Would this be possible in a publish? I really think it useful to have this option in game. You never know you might find some real bargains then.
What are everyones thoughts on this? Or dont you really care
Once again sorry for posting things like this here, i just value your opinions.

Umm... If bazaar would NOT have6K limit, therewould NOT have need for vendors (how many really would waste they time to run around planet and trying to find single item?). And If there wouldn't have need for vendors, there wouldn't have need for merchant profession or player shops. And removing shops would generally affecting negatively to player cities (politicians) and crafters who are creating supply items for cities (like architects).
Ofcourse if you think this from only buyer viewpoint it would remove need to run around planet (timesink). However I think it would have generally really bad effect to economy and community.
IMHO:This would be really bad idea.

Well, actually they're going back to the drawing board on that, as there were a lot of issues (problems) raised by merchants, politicians, crafters and people who like to decorate shops.
Personally, not seeing the vendors tied into the bazaar would suit me JUST fine. Reading all 1000 items on one vendor to find what you like is one thing, but now do it for every vendor in the area and I think I may just buying things.
Back to the topic though, bazaars see a lot of sales traffic, at least for me. Good way to get a few more people to know about your products ("I bought this lekku wrap you made off the bazaar, can you make me more stuff") off-loading small amounts of bones/hides/cheap loot etc and finding something that you know is readily available, but you don't want to drive everywhere looking for it.
(edited to keep the typo monster at bay)

Yeah, the idea of listing items over 6k on the bazaar is pretty much DOA since Merchants and Artisans already spend their skill points on being able to place vendors.

Both of you misunderstand you will be able to purchase anything of the bazzar thats on a vendor in the galaxie but you will still have to go to the shop to retreive the item, thats how it was back in beta and why you have a wp to pick up the item in the mail you get for those who have wondered. Also any player can only put 20 items on a bazzar at once so it wouldent be effective as picking up merchchant and being able to sell 1000 items your products just get seen more, you still have people coming to your shop. Also this will create a more competitve price war which should hopefully bring down the price on most player made items but then your selling more so more $$$.

I'm sure a lot of merchants might like this as well, because they would be able to use more vendors themselves, rather than losing many of them to guildies/friends as loot/misc. rubbish vendors. It would also save them a lot of time if they have to regularly restock other peoples vendors, especially if they have a large stock of 'glass top table top section 2' that are not selling. Also, putting high value loot on the bazaar would aid many combat oriented players in selling these items, without the need for spamming that they've found some uber skill tape they can't use. It would make it much easier for players to track down that elusive recycler part, or particular poster that would make their house look just right an awful lot easier, as well as enabling players with loot to sell a means of determining its actual value(and stop n00bs thinking 5k for the rug adhesive is a great deal).

Actually, the bazaar limit is 25 items, and includes items on offer at somebody's vendor ... I wouldn't mind seeing the price cap go away while keeping this limit. Also, auctions might become useful in-game instead of a way to advertise a shop since nobody can buy your ad.

the reason this hasn't been added is so that Merchants are a useful class, tbh I think merchant should be a no skill point class like politicain is now

I'd have to disagree with you there ... the merchant class benefits (such as storage vendors)are too great for players to have it for free and fairly often, a person doesn't need more than say 3002. They could get the hiring tree for choosing and outfitting their vendors, but once happy, thats one tree thats not needed anymore.
