Actually, the bazaar limit is 25 items, and includes items on offer at somebody's vendor ... I wouldn't mind seeing the price cap go away while keeping this limit. Also, auctions might become useful in-game instead of a way to advertise a shop since nobody can buy your ad.
I agree with this! With a item number limit in place, and no price cap, the bazaar would become much more viable to non-crafter type players. I would also like to see the cost of the merchant skill points reduced or removed, so it becomes viable to craft, sell, and defend yer butt a little!

I think everyone should use the bazaar instead of player vendors. It'd be soo convenient! Oh and add a search feature to the bazaar...

Increasing Bazar uyse and functionality would be great, but you dont want to undercut the merchant profesion at the same time. Player run vendors/merchants should be able to co-exist with a useful bazar system. So what needs to happen is for each system(bazar, merchant vendors) to fulfill difrent roles. I believe that merchant vendors should remain unchanged, although better advertising of wares would be very good, but not to the extent of tying them into the bazar like the devs recently considered. Vendors are and should remain very good for selling large quantities of items. There shops. SO in order to compliment(but not compete with) vendors, change the bazar into more of an auction house. eliminate the 6k price cap on bazar items, but lower the amount of items that could be listed on the bazar per person. Make all bazar sales auctions. This would encourage use of the bazar as an in game auction system that could replace the curent trade forums(which already undercut in game merchants).

Here's irony for you:
SWG players complain because SOE is not being senisitve or considerate to their customer base on many issues
SWG merchants are complaining about the galaxy-wide bazaar/vending system because the customers wouldnt be considerate to them
Hmm...

That's not the case at all considering the thing SOE was going to try and shove down our throats - It was a change that would have eliminated the need fo merchant profession skill pointsentirely. Buying from a central location (Bazaar), and instant delivery to your inventory is what Merchants were against. Merchants WANT their customers to find them.
Here's what Mechants want in a nutshell. A Centralized system so you can find and verify that the items you want are indeed in stock. Even purchasing from the Central system is fine - As long as you still need to go and pick up the item from it's vendor location. Merchants were against the Instant Delivery, NOT the whole idea.

I know, and I apologize for the blanket statement. It was just kind of funny how close to irony it was.

Heh. He said that he thinks people should be able to sell high-quality expensive items in game, without the use of player vendors.
