Thread: Pay for the Wookie Expansion? *coughs hairball* I think NOT

I gotta tell you guys at SOE, you really think customers are going to run out and buy a wookie expansion after the broken promises we have had with SWG? It was bad enough we had to buy the space expansion due to you just didnt get it ready in time for the retail release of SWG. Why not released attack of the womprats, that sure would seem a lot more fun then the wookie planet. I am having a really hard time paying 15.00 a month for a game I rarely play because the promise of new content takes years to come about. There are still MASSIVE bugs from Jump to light speed and dont even get me started how bad the bugs are with SWG which have never been fixed. Now all of a sudden out of the closet instead of working on the stuff SOE should have been fixing we are going to create ANOTHER major problem into this game by adding the wookie expansion.
You have to be kidding me.. I honestly have to say this is the least SOE could do for us by giving us CONTENT for once is to give us this expansion. God knows they have given us NOTHING for the 2 years of service we have. SOE comes up with the combat revamp which to date still isnt publish and we have been talking about this for 18 months now. So the free stuff takes forever, but yet the Pay stuff comes out of the blues and HEY next month its here. NO THANK YOU, Not gonna do it and have my game that is majorly bug ridden be even worse. Its time to draw the line here

You could always just stop paying and play something else if you aren't satisfied. Fact is, people are still going to pay and play it regardless. True, customer service is pretty much a joke, but still.

Eh, customer service is slow and barely deserves the name most of the time. However, Cry4Dawn, as irritating as the never ending patches to fix what the last patch broke when it fixed the previous patch are I still have a good time with my friends playing the game.
My question then, is if you feel this way about the game, why haven't you gone and played a different game? Personally, even with all the faults it has, I still prefer SWG to any of the others out there.

JTL was never supposed to be part of the initial launch.
You seem to hate the game with a passion, so much so that it has driven you to make massive, false generalizations ("God knows they have given us NOTHING for the 2 years of service we have."). Why not just quit and get on with your life? I suggest you avoid the MMOG genre in the future because:
1. All of them have bugs. Bugs that stick around for a while, bugs that are quick and easy to squash, bugs that are so insignificant that they are left alone forever.
2. None of them have customer service that is going to bow to your every whim/do precisely what you want.
3. All of them bring out expansions that you have to buy separately on a regular basis.

A valiant effort, Cry4dawn. But its going to get released, it's going to cost money, and you're going to buy it with a BIG smile on your face and say "thank you sir, may I have another?"

ok hold it a minute. You are a veteran player. Do you not remeber the old content? No Speeders, Corpse Runs, Novice Pistoleer was Godly, You never saw a jedi, lack of droids, etc. Come on, SOE has given plenty of content and beleive me SWG is better than other MMOs. I quit for WoW and was disgusted with the lack of interaction with players, the economy, and the lanscape. Go buy WoW and try it. I guarentee you will be crawling back to SWG. I will be purchasing JTL this week and ROTW ASAP.

I've been here since launch which is why this is the single most confusing statement ever...you actually think this game is the same as it has been since launch????
sorry but that statement alone killed any credibility your complaint may have had otherwise

true..they have added in some things that have made playing a little easier....but the fact is...they havent given us any form of content for a very long time now. i dont mind the bugs or the occasional crashes or server downtimes...but the fact of the matter is that they need to provide us with a reason to come in the game............ and errr..ill be preordering.. for some reason lol

As a long time tester for SWG you couldnt be more wrong. JTL was suppose to be part of the original release according to Lucas Arts. Lucas did not want to have Star Wars be EQ. Sadly things did not go as planned for SWG and it was released without space flying for a long time. Lucas has said SWG was suppose to be released a space game as well as land. Clearly this did not happen, thus why a good % of the game left after a few months

No, I wont be buying it. I have given years of my life to SWG and since WOW has been released I probably spend less then an hour a week playing SWG. The only reason I still play durning that time is because WOW is down for maintence at that time of the morning. Wow offers so much I wonder how people can get bored with it at this point and time

I would agree with you about the lack of communication, however next patch we will have chat bubbles just like SWG. I had to disagree with you on every other point for the simple fact that wow is almost endless. There are so many lands and things to see and do it makes SWG look like an anthill for content. I also challenge most people to try wow, I am guessing more WONT be coming back to this game after playing it because lets face it.. Its an amazing game
