The faction perks suck, faction armor is ok but hardly neccessary, Faction bases are so costly that when anyone needs one (Excuse me, a dozen to replace the one that was destroyed last night) they just get a smuggler to sell them FP.
Not only that, but lately I've noticed a deep antipathy for doing missions for any purpose other than grinding the animals that spawn.

I always used to have good buisiness selling FP for bases, promotions, ect.... No with bio-linking costs, people want more faction.
With the farmers selling it for about half the price I can buy it, it puts me out of buisness.
In the Weapon Depot on Talus, when the AFKer came back to check on things, he must have had a shock to have only received 200 FP or so. Needless to say, he ran out.
I took cover, and he returned and started up his AFK macro again.
Beat the AFKer - be ATK.
Just because people are selling faction cheaper than you are does not mean they are exploiting. And to be chatting for example, while a macro runs shooting stanky azz Rebs is not bad either. Go overt in space and see how you can gain more faction than any way in game. Thats how I earn my faction points..... And people wouldent even need bots if everyone that played their profs made themselves available when everyone is on-line. But of course everyone wants to play the game and not sit around serving others right?The problem with this game is that because of the actions of a few people the game mechanics are changed to stop the complaining of others.Really stop complaining because the nerf will not only affect the AFK campers when it comes. Ask the Jedis they know how things work around here.

Ok, we're on page 5 now, and still not a dev response to at least acknowledge there's a problem. What's the deal here?I'm really, really sick of seeing posts on the trade forums that states that they "should be capped on FP by the time they get home" which is clearly afk macroing. The AFK nature of this game is sickening.
If I was a new player, and walked into Mos Eisley cantina and saw 10 entertianers dancing / playing music nonstop with AFK above their heads.... I'd either ask to find out how to AFK macro myself, or quit the game right there and then. Is that what you wantSOE?

I don't know exactly what you think is a stupid idea, but (1) if you pull level 80 faction missions, you get 100+ points per mission, (2) there's absolutely no reason you should get more points for spamming spray shot at the Gungan vs. Imp battlefield than you should for killing an elite level 80 Sith assassin. It's just as fair as level 80 lair missions paying out more than level 15 lair missions or level 80 creatures being worth more XP than level 15 creatures. And (3) You can also get FP from doing quests you get from NPC's at faction bases.
