I'm a weaponsmith, and I know for a fact that a lot of weapons come out with a base damage of 700 or 800+, same materials, resources, etc. People are trying to sell these weapons in spurts on vendors and auctions listing them as uber !! UNSLICED AT THAT !!! I've made over 50mil being fair with prices, image the people who get away with this and have over 100 or 200 mill sitting in the bank while you struggle to loot and run missons while they continue to jack up prices. I've also seen base armor selling for 4mill a suit. Just beware of this, the CU already has people upset. Don't let greedy people ruin it either.

I agree to a certain point.

What is yer definition of a fair price?
Ive heard a fair price = 4cpu

Are you saying non-Armorsmiths can buy the schematics and trade them to a smith? If that's the case, I'd certainly be into it.

Actually, I have to /delegatefaction to the AS, then they buy the schems from a recruiter.

Oh well, I'll go back to my old position of, "Eh, I'll get around to messing with that one of these days..."

guess ill add my 2 creds here....

first off i feel that the CU is both good and bad for crafters and yes i do have a crafter of every profession now

someone said earlier that nothing works for MDE-wrong lots of it works just maybe you dont know how to do it right,,,and sales have gone up

i have also been hearing alot about how resource stockpiles are worthless now because of changes...so what they changed it adapt i have not done any major resource hunting for minerals for awhile because i found ti was easier to just set down my harvesters and not pick them back up for every spawn that came along.sure i miss somethings but all together i have what i need to craft with

Of course and yup you guessed it i could care a womprats behind about being in the uber leet crafter club i dont have the patience to sit there and destroy scheme after scheme until i have the perfect run,so all you peeps that really need armor and weapons but cant afford the top line stuff come see me ill have a good deal for you

millions in the bank sure but i have never had more than 8 million on any my toons,i find i spend aout 40% back into my harvesters and factories

armor prices about the same i was charging before just its now affected by basic/standerd/advanced and i sell faction armor too

Faction armor unvieled(spoiler) full set of Trooper armor schematics 15500 fp able to craft 10 complete suits each suit has Biolink cost of 7700FP

15500 FP costs me 1600000 credits because i use a smuggler toon of my own too get it i sell it at piece costs of 60k/80k/100k or full suits at 600k/800k/1M as you can tell i do make a profit from this and the reason why is this it takes 15 minutes to fully hand craft 1 suit including adding store logo and making a backpack with fp cost warning on it

it takes me 11 armor cores for each full suit and of those 11 seven must be crated the suits also require me to get a couple of special resources to make

too date i have produced at these prices over 40 faction suits gave away about 10 of them and so far have sold 4 but i have just today placed some on my more public vender near mos eisley instead of my main in the middle of rori-and i have enough faction to purchase another set of schemes when i log in tomorrow

if faction armor is still too expensive then you are prolly not really needing it.

my master architect makes a killing selling furniture that he names himself ,both my DE's make a killing selling droids they name my Chef loves to make food that is locally named flavor instead of generic versions of the schemes my 2 smugglers are just selling more spice than they can stock right now......my assesment there is nothing really keeping me from making money other than me not putting product for sell and of all these toons i play with only my first master architect has been around since the beginning and has older resources the others have all grabbed their bootstrapps and bulled their way through the market to carve out a niche for themselves

People just don't shop around.....that's all. Hey, if some knucklehead wants to spend 100k on a gun that cost the weaponsmith 10k in resources to make, well, then that's the buyer's problem right?

I have a weaponsmith alt (12pt) and sell weapons at very reasonable prices. I don't make MILLIONS off them but I do make some profit. So all you buyers out there.....keep spending those millions and you will eventually find out that you should have spent time actually shopping instead of spontaneous buying.......

Hehe Another point I'd like to make is the Au'kaun cave camping. I've been there and found most of the tapes have broken mods, but people still sell these tapes on auction for 3mil+. BY buying these tapes you pretty much support the habit. I've been around since launch and never really used a skill tape except for weapons experimention, and now BE, and I did vendor search to find an entire suit for under 3mil . O f course if you have to have the very best then more power too you

cant really blame the smiths for this because it is an industry of supply and demand. now after the cu so many people have quit a few smiths are having to take the load of the whole galaxy. so if you want good stuff right now youll have to pay for it. its a raw deal i know, and i dont craft anything. but you better beleive if i find someone who can fill my custom orders ill have to pay for it if i want it. i even come across smiths that are so burnt out on keeping up they wont craft anything custom anymore no matter how much you want to give them in credits or how mauch business you have given them in the past. i really cant blame them being crafting has to be the most boring proffession in the game. besides maybe dancer now since they are useless except for inspiration buffs. who wants to be a dancer anymore? i know noone. just tellin it like it is.

One thing you all are also failing to realize that for a armorsmith it takes 5-7 days..yes I said DAYS to make a sub component to go into the segment then you have to turn around and spend another 5-7 days making cores for the armor and that is per kind of armor Battle,Assault, and so on. Also the amount of material that goes into Armor is not like a weapon where its 200 of this metal or 500 of that ore your looking at a good 100K + stack of hide, then there are various chemical's and mineral's that go into the armor. Mostly it isnt just 300K of any type of Steel its specifically named and some does not always spawn ALL the time. If you take all of this into consideration 400K for a set of regular armor is not a bad price and if you go into the faction armor when there spending almost 12 mil to the schematics hell yeah you better expect it to be close to 1 mil for a set of faction armor.

I just don't understand these posts.

A retarded monkey could make money in this game. Most people seem to realize that. But there are always the few crying, "Mommy, make the bad man sell me what I want for a dollar".

It's real simple. You want something nice, put in the time. That is one way that the game imitates life.

In fact, the game is even simpler because the same opportunities are available to all and you don't have to pay a big chunk of your money to support the lazy asses who think everyone owes them something.
