Thread: General question: HOw many of us use the public bazaars?

I use the bazaars to sell 'high quality' looted crap for the newbs to buy. I also use the bazaar to find vendors since most do advertise on the bazaar's. The vendors that do advertise on the bazaars are usually well stocked also.
Bout to place a couple of wanted posters for 6k each...will make some newb happy I hope.

I do and I always check all kinds of things not just misc, the other day I found a comp bicep that had def v intim +7 Disease resit 3 and fire resist and it only cost 6k

haha i remember back in the day saving up for things on the bazaar
i also used to use it a lot buying furniture for my house before i really knew what was going on in the game

I use the bazaar regularly. There are some good deals to be had. I picked up an eyes of mesra once for 6k when they were at the height of "l33tne55" (or however it's spelt ) .
There are some good resources on there too. While the big guns were paying 200cpu for avian meat, I was picking up the little 100unit stacks here and there. Over the course of two week, I amassed a grand total of around 6k from the bazaar and it cost me less than 40k. There's always lot's of cheap resource on there, 2cpu stuff for grinding as well as the uber l33t stuff (there it is again)™ i need for smithing.
I've also boughta fair amount of stims and small crated stuff. Brandy, landspeeder's, houses etc. It's a really good place to go if your on your way somewhere then you suddenly realise "Sh

t, I need some XXXX".If the price limit was raised a little then I would sell stuff on the bazaar. Maybe 50-100k. This would allow swoops, mediums houses, factories, crates of proper food, weapons etc etc to be sold on there.
I also agree with one of the above posters that the "nowhere auctions", that are used to advertise vendors REALLY get on my tts.

I use it a lot, for some reason none of the chefs on naritus seem to want to sell small amounts of anything so if I need decent quality brandy & I can only afford 6k instead of a 100k crate I'll buy it on the bazaar, if it's good stuff I'll hunt down the vendor for a crate at a later date.
If I loot clothes, especially girly stuff it all goes on there for a nominal price so that noobs can afford to get an outfit to replace those noob clothes, my novice dancer on bria got dressed up to the nines within minutes of starting the game thanks to the bazaar (not that she gets many tips anyway...).
Last but not least if I loot weaponsmith stuff or just about anything thats no use to my toon (except if I hear it's REALLY high-value stuff) I stick it on, there's too many people who loot crap that's no use to them but refuse to sell it for less than a small fortune, I'll admit to having relaxed my morals on this one a bit since the solo-nerf & kicked myself more than once when a browse of the trade forums reveals things like gurk king hides selling for silly money (think I sold the ones I looted for 250 creds a piece when I was a skint noob, my mate's just made 600k for his after I advertised em in the forums!).

My answer: Yes I use it. I like to hunt for bargains like cheap small houses to resell or for rare loot in the misc. general items. I also dump my old low value junk there like a virtual garage sale or Goodwill.

I've made a decent sized fortune(millionsof credits)with my Master Tailor by buying (CAs) and selling low-end clothing items (black never goes out of style, hehe).
I've since added a couple more accounts that I also supply 25 bazaar items and have those characters sell in other cities on the same planet (Bestine/Mos Eisley/Anchorhead for example). I usually sell most or all of each 25 item inventory every two or three days -- that's about 100-150k per account per inventoryturn (25 x 6000 per account).
As I built the bazaar business up, I then added a shop on the same planet located between the three cities, and I started placing an advertisement for this shop in the description of each bazaar item -- COPY + PASTE and /note = great advertising tools for crafters.
Along the way, I had one of the characters grind up Bio Engineer to provide cheap tailor tissues and started offering high-end BE clothing in the shops, and sold low end BE items to advertise this fact -- ie: +1/+1 Injury/Wound Treatment garments in bazaar for 6000 creds with an advertisement for the shop where I sold +25/+25 Injury/Wound Treatment garments for areasonableprice (usually 20-30k).

i use the bazaar all the time for:
selling low end weapons, with advertising to vendors for the higher level stuff
selling MA stuff like crafting tools, repair tools and for some reason fishing poles sell well
selling low end loots like CAs for things like forage +1
buying higher end loots like CAs that newbies don't know are worth more
buying weapon enhancements that newbies don't know are worth more (green and yellow geo cubes end up there alot .. yay)
buying individual stim b's, i really need a doc toon on ahazi lol
