as an artisan, i sell al my items on the bazaar. i sell clothing only, and at good prices so they flow like water. i do wish that i could put more things on it. coronet is the best place of business, especially when using a bazaar. no point just yet in my placing a house with a vendor somewhere close outside cnet.

Yes. I'm what I call an itemcomber. Sure, some of it is overpriced crap i will never use (6k a piece for Composite???? I don't even wear it, i'm not paying 48k for something I never use) but some of it is amazing. Example- Just yesterday I found a bio-engineer poster (New loot painintg) for 4500. SCORE.

Yes.
Only if a good quality cheap item is there. ThenI go use cntrl v and find a vendor that sells what I want if no good item is on the bazaar.

I use it everyday. Looking for great deals, and also to sell my wares. It has been a very useful tool to me, and although it is a royal pain to drag my happy hiney to c'net to load it up everyday, I cant complain about the cash I am making. The only drawback I see about the deal, is that only the larger cities on each planet have a good bazzar customer base. On Talus, where I reside, the bazaar might as well not even be there for all the use it gets.....lol
I guess using the bazaar sounds noobish to some, with me being a Master Merchant, but using it pays my day to day operations costs, and leaves me cash left over, so who cares what they think, right?

I use the bazaar daily for buying and selling. As a master tailor I burned out on maintaining a shop with multiple vendors. Now I only sell clothing on the bazaar. I can make most all tailor items for 6k or under and make a nice profit. Sure you can only stock 25 items, but since I sell nothing under 1k, that is 25k - 150k by the time all the items sell. A nice income stream.
I am amazed that the bazaar is not more utilized by novice tailors working up the trees. Many players will buy almost any clothing itemin black (a color available to novices) and selling on the bazaar is a great way to fund your training. Yet, I consistently find the clothing categories empty or stocked only with the oddly colored looted clothing pieces. The field is wide open for tailors to make plenty of credits.
For buying, I constantly check resource listing sand the misc/generic category to see if any interesting bargains have turned up. And they often do.
I love the bazaar!

Its great for selling mis-crafted items (ship parts sell quickly, missiles also).
I sometimes end up harvesting grind materials if there isn't anything else good around and one of my harvs is on a high percent area. I can usually sell them at a decent cpu that makes a profit.
I always include a short advertisement for my main vendor in the description of the sales item.
I sometimes put up quality ship parts at good prices for advertisement purposes, and it has worked. People sometimes msg me asking if I have certain items in stock because they say the advert on the bazaar.
I wonder if SOE would ever release bazaar usage info per server, would be sweet.

I use the bazaars to sell and buy items within the price range. Factory crates of stims, spice, and droid batteries can often be found for good prices.

I do alot of bargain hunting on them too, mostly be frequent checks on a handful of specific headings.I also sell off stuffI loot and harvest or drop off bargains in less travelled cities when I am clearing my inventory.
I think 10k might be a better cap perhaps sliding up to 20k with artisian and merchant skills. Although, I wonder if that might just cause everyone to list items beyond what a newbie can afford. They are full of alot people selling crap for 6k that is no where near worth it.
The advert/auctions are frustrating to me as well. I would prefer to see them deliverable upon hitting their 6k max. This would help better justify the role of merchant. In the same vein,I agree that the trade forums undermine merchants but, wonder if they don't drastically reduce the amount of spam we would have otherwise.
For my money,I would really like to see more extensive filtering available so as to better find what you are looking for.

In the SPAM post, I made a suggestion on tying Merchant vendors into the existing Bazaar system. A system such as this would bring an increase to the use of the bazaar, but may impact the "bargain hunting" many of you seem to enjoy. If its easy to comparison shop, those bargains may dry up...

Yes I use the bazaar all the time! I look for deals, but I also sell a fair bit there too.
Ihave a tailor and almost all my regular clothes are priced under 6k anyway, so I try to keep the local bazaar stocked to my limit. And by adding my vendor info in the description everyone looking at my sales items can know where my vendor is at! Oddly enough things seem to sell alot faster on the bazaar too.
