Since the merchants/crafters seem to want to continue to sell sliced weapons so badly and be the ones controlling illegal goods let them. A better solution to the problem is increasing scans and if illegal good are found , they are taken away for good and person is fined 10k or more. Add the scans to hit venders and do the same , if imp/reb npc sees a vender it scans it noticed several sliced goods, removes all items from vendor that are sliced and adds fine of 10k per item to owner of vender.

If we are gona have a crack down then let the npcs actully crack down on illegal items.

Don't want to suggest positive changes then this will be the only other way. It doesn't nerf any proffession, keeps slices to ppl that have enough guts to have that sweet weapon sliced.

I see, so you don't mind if say npcs of opposite faction take up camp inside your house, waiting to ambush you.

Smugglers, being the sneaky bunch that they are, are trying to build support for a ban on selling sliced weapons/armor from vendors. There is a poll thread on the topic on the Smuggler forum and of course it's running like 100:1 in favor of the ban since it is the smuggler forum after all. If you value the convenience of being able to choose from sliced or unsliced weapons/armor rather than having a minority dictate what you can do, head on over to the forum and give 'em hell. Check out page 7 where I destroy all their arguments for why they think this is a good idea.

I am a slicer. ROAR! No! I won't slice your weapons! I'll sit here with all my equipment and stare at you! ROAR!!!
