The idea of karma is an excellent one, in my opinion. And in the real world most of the really wealthy people who are both rich in money and satisfied as people usually devote a good deal of their fortune toward charitable efforts.

One thing I try to keep in mind is the idea that it's my mind, my personal actions, and the support of a great bunch of friends who have helped me achieve whatever success I've had. It's not the particular profession I chose, or the resource stocks I have saved up, or the money I have in the bank.

Someone without ingenuity and without the ability to trust in others can the profession, the resources, and the bank and still be a failure if the winds change and they're not able to adapt.

Someone *with* ingenuity and trust will succeed even if they're stripped back down to 250c and a noob melon.

O.

So are you saying that rich people collect bad karma by all the screwed up things they do to subordinates, other companies, citizens and their employees and fix that karma by doing philantropy?

But what else can you do but ignore them?

My favorite response (I mentioned this in another thread in the same forum):

As long as the beggar stays within range of me, he can make 30 credits a minute, or even 1,800 credits an hour. I call it "If-you-don't-want-to-work-for-a-living-then-be-my-groupie" macro

Quitters never win, winners never quit, but those who never win AND never quit are idiots.

Oh man, I WISH someone had told me about the 30k in 30 minutes doing artisen survey missions when I first started. I discovered the artisen delivery missions and got started that way, but that would have been a much quicker way to get started. My first week in the game involved getting 2 deliver missions in Moenia, talk to the 2 guys in Moenia, craft the 2 things that needed to be delivered, RUN (didn't know about shuttles yet) over to Deeja Peak, find the other 2 dudes that needed the stuff, then get 2 more missions and RUN back to Moenia.

After a week I finally had enough credits to buy a swoop, which I then used to run some more missions so I could afford some better weapons (didn't know I needed to level my weapon skills to use that weapon)... then I saw someone disappear from near the shuttle port and figured out the whole shuttle thing... I thought I was rolling in the dough then, I was making like 15k each evening after work.

Good times. I think I mastered Artisan doing those deliver missions...

I often like to ‘accidently’ say: "addignore begger"

Then I say "Oops! LOL"

Then I actually do enter /addignore begger"
