ive been thinking..if evry new player gets a BARC,the best bike in the whole galaxy, they will never buy another bike, and in time those noobs will be the vets and almost evryone will have one, making other bikes almost completely useless!
wada u think?
How do explain that I sell at least 20 swoops a week from a shop in the backwaters of Rori, still? Im even adding AR-1s due to popular demand.

In my opinion, that is most likely a bug. Why else would they have the repair kits made by artisans?
The resorces for one repair kit can only be harvested by a master pilot...These repair kits are able to be used only once. So a repair kit would cost about 250K-500K. They will not sell.
Cart before the horse...
This was not well thought out.

LOL! just take a ride on dath and see what happens to bikes, swoops etc. I didnt loose 1 bike to a npc before cu now ive lost more than i want to admit when travelling on dath.
Swoop lvl 10 hit by a NS Ranger lvl 81 = splat you dont have a swoop no more.
How this can be bad for you i really dont understand since i buy swoops by the crates now.
Take a ride with me on Dath... Camo does wonders for Bike life expectancy...
I must say though after CU bike seem to reflect more the fragility they showed in return of the Jedi on the Ewok planet

Any ol pilot can mine. Any pilot from box 1 and up. A pilot that is 2322 is the minimum you'd need for the best starfighter mining gear, and that would let you harvest enough for a BARC kit every trip up. Starfighter mining is far faster and more efficient that trying to use the so called "mining" ship. I agree that the amount of resource per kit is steep, but your notion of the requirments to mine are a bit off.

Ok here is my two cents:
1) The BARC Speeder will not effect bike or vehicle sales. Mine have not dipped at all and not all Veterans are going to want or get one.
2) The BARC Repair kit is for bringing the BARC back from disabled status only. The BARC can be maintained through use of a garage like any other vehicle, but unlike any other vehicle it can be resurrected from disabled status by use of the repair kit.
3) The BARC Repair kit requires large amounts of Asteroid resources to make so it is very expensive. Some people will not be able to afford this item.
4) The BARC Repair kit is aone shot deal. So it will have to be pruchased each time they need to fully reapair the BARC from disabled status. So even if everybody had a BARC, bike sales might go down but Repair Kit sales wold and will remain steady.
The BARC ias a nice vehicle but it will not effect vehicle sales. Many people consider vehicles as expendable items and purchase them over and over again when a litte common sense will protect them in the long run. Vehicles will still get destroyed and need replacing,
ok for reply 3:thats what i hate btw just cuz you have to go through a little bit of effort instead of planting a harv its very expansive..not making much sense or 99.9 percent of the crafters is lazy
LOL, 99.9 of the crafters are lazy? Then hire yourself out to them. You go space mining where depending on what resource it is, low to high level pirates will come after you. No prob for an ace though :-) But seriously, pirates aside, mining is time consuming. Its VERY time consuming. Crafting is VERY time consuming. When you have two very time consuming things you need to do, you choose 1 of 3 options. Don't mine. Don't craft. Or do a little bit of both. The problem with the 3rd is some people go to the same shops to buy things. They expect that shop to be full of what it had last year. If it doesn't then they will go somewhere else from now on.
So yes, go out, do all the mining you can, then sell it to a crafter. Also, if you mine the resources x2 for the repair kit, most crafters will make the kit for the extra materials. You say crafters are lazy, so become one of their employees. Work for them, a lot of them can afford it, and they can make money off of it.
