Harvesting is the #1 easy way to make money. When i started out two years ago i tried to support myself doing missions, but it didnt really work out. Once i started to harvest resources money never again became a serios issue. Plus go to swgcraft.com, it has a list of all current resources with the planet they are on and stats.

space is one of the best place to make money IMO, I can make about 200k in one night of off selling my space loot to the ship vendor.
