Thread: Vendor restocking a pain

Yeah totally agree it to be a pain in the A$$. I have like 2000 weapons up for sale, and they won't get sold all within 30 days, so I end up with re-enlisting 500 weapons in a row. (I slice usaully 500-800 weapons in a row and place them 50 by 50 on the vendors). So 30 days after that the mayhem starts. Being able to select multiple items at the same time and choosing the "Sell" button would really save a lot of time. Also when it comes to buying. Now you have to click 3 times before you have bought a specific item (and it takes a lot of waiting time to). When i want say buy 11 identical Krayt Tissues I have to buy them separately, can't we just select multiple items and select buy or sell?

I have some vendors with all the same price for items, so being able to enlist 100 at a time would REALLY be hlepfull.

Thnkas, and I hope this reaches some-one that will go and try it out for himself. Or try cancelling 100 items and replacing them, see how long that takes.

This is a discussion that should be in the merchant forum, as restocking vendors is specifically a merchant issue.

Eh yes and no. You're right, down to the brass tacks yes this is a merchant issue. But in reality it can and does affect the economy. I stock fast selling items on my vendors so I don't have to worry about restock. But in the end I don't give my clients the variety of things people may buy just not as often or simply don't buy because all they see on a vendor is Composite or the like.

Yes I do use the bazaar for my "low level" items please keep thjat in mind. But it can be very frustrating for say a newer player to walk up to vendor and only see top of the line options way out of thier price range.

I could give you that variety of droids, weapons, armor, heck I've even considered putting a vendor that only sell artisan items. But in the end while a cool vendor to day doesn't move fast enough even with low prices and ends up being a high time drag on my game time.

Open your market up to a larger variety of item and that can help both your player base and your economy on people that don't have millions in thier bank account.

It does afect the economy in one way in my opinion. At least with this option it is designed to cull out these empty vendors, in theory, methinks, but that is another issue, as I can still go to prolly 3 or 4 hundred vendors on Bria server that doesnt have jack on them, but prolly got plenty of maintenance on them so they are still there.

It affects the economy by wasting peoples time, which is valuable to most folks, even if the people who run this madhouse dont agree.

Agreed that this is "technically" a merchant issue, but it does affect the economy when it becomes impossible to buy that generic item or food because no-one wants to have to repost 30 of that item every month ad-nauesum.
