how poor this game will be without the life of the so called spammers in theed and the other metropolises. Sometimes I go to theed.. just to see what "spammers" have to offer.
With so many "dead" cities.. and the presence of IGNORE AFK SPAMMERS and /ADIGNORE.. they should not be a problem for those who dont like the pulsing life of a large city.

I think we should go for /cork
Can be applied like any buff (without consent but with a duration), and each time a player spams afterwards, they get closer and closer to exploding.
If someone drops one on you as a joke, then you're relatively safe. It'll wear off eventually.
But if you're not at the keyboard and don't know you've been/corked, you keep spamming every 30 seconds or so and ... BOOM!
This might fall under another of the 101 uses for duct tape. But /cork is easier to type.

At the very least, allow a check box to ignore players using /yell and /shout. (like the one for ignore /afk players). Its bad enough to have to deal with all the spam, its worse when you can hear it even before you get in the city.
Also, /addignore would be nice if it would add by just typing that while the spammer is targeted (like /examine). However I add at least 2-4 people per starport, every single time I go near one. /addignore is NOT enough.
I will be happy once recursive/looping macros are gone. It will also not make it impossible to use macros for crafting as you dont need it to loop, you may need to push an extra button or two, but it will still be usable.
