thegreywolfe,
that is exactly right, your willingness to 'work' for something has to be there to drive the gain of the item you want.
Personally I am not a hardcore or even average time-spent player. So because I don't play much I don't expect to be a millionaire or even have more then a a couple hundred thousand credits. I don't play for the economy so I don't expect it to allow me to buy rare items and high-end weapons etc. Sure I want high-end stuff to make the game easier, but then I accept that its in the realm of the people who put in the time, and not someone like me who isn't even in the game more then a few hours a week. In real life, if we want something and don't have the funds, we either save over time, work harder, or get a loan/credit and work out our debt. Why can't people realise thats how it work in SWG?? Haves and have nots exist in real life and since the SWG economy is pretty much the same overall system as real life, it works the same... these people who are billionaries in the game, they play the system. Just as Billionaires in real life can play the system. They work hard and can see the potential markets or they have a dedication that has paid off.
Pure combat players need to realise they are NOT the top of the economy pile, not the top of the 'food-chain'. They are the end users and thus have the economic position of the end user, and end users only tend to spend money, not make it. Welcome to the Capitalist Consumerism.
Wishing people could see the obvious...

Wishing people could see the obvious...

exactly.. wishing people could see the obvious in my post that I'm not talking abnout haves/have nots, game play, rich/poor, etc...
I'm talking about the fact that people who want to play, with the current and future content, but will not because they believe that the economies on the current galaxies have been so manipulated from all different factors including duping, and corrections to those dupes.
Think of it this way.. to a group of players, which you may believe to be small, and I believe to be big, the current game cannot stand on it's own merits in their minds because their perception is tainted. Take a way a reason that is keeping them away.. start a new galaxy.
