Hmmm - Then I may have to talk to the wood buyers. I have never sold huge amounts, but I know that everytime I put a small stack of wood (1-5k) on the bazaar and price it at 3-5cpu, it sells within a couple days. They are just my odds and ends, but somebody buys em. Perhaps it is just the people who don't know how to harvest their own...

Architects don't need much wood. We use some for paintings but not a huge amount. Theres also some specific rare woods we need for gardens but those are from worlds like Endor.
Oh, if you're selling 1-5k stacks then sure that could be architects. I can burn through that much in a few crates of paintings.
But the guy who started this thread is looking at 300+ harvesters so he's going to be dealing in large bulks of materials. So I don't think he should look to architects as a buyer for wood.

You can buy multiple accounts and set up static lots then never pay monthly fees on these if you have one character for admin

do you mean that you just use up all the lots on one alt, delete it and make another character?

no that doesn't work.
SoE also does occaisioanal server sweeps on inactive accounts (usually around the 6-month mark).
If you drop lots with a character on an account, then delete that character, the lots WILL be deleted as well, and no longer be persistent.
If you never pay for the account again there is a good chance that next time SoE does a server sweep you will lose your lots.
If you drop the lots and pay on the account every 5 months then you'll *probably* be fine, but there is still a chance that your lots will be deleted. It is a risk that you take for having lots on inactive accounts.
....and to the nay-sayers - I think there's someone jay-walking outside right now. Why don't you go call 911 and tell on them, then the world will be a much happier place, cause it's obviously the pointless rules that need to be enforced, rather than the raging problems with the system....
