I am going to purchase around 80 of each type of ber 13 (14 for the fusion) and am going to place them soon. I am curious though, for mineral I know there isnt anything specific like say corellian steel, but chemical and floral both have specifics like dath fiberplast or nabooian beans. I am curious what planets would you advise to place these on? I am thinking 2 fields of 40, so 1 field on 1 planet 1 on another. For Chefs what are important floral planets and what are some important chemical planets? For chemical I was thinking of doing one on Naboo and one on Corellia as armorsmiths use both those (me being one I know this well). Mineral..well what planets do you normally get lucky with?

So in conclusion:

#1 2 fields of 40 mineral (but what planets are you lucky with?)

#2 2 fields of 40 chemical (thinking naboo and corellia)

#3 2 fields of floral (no idea what 2 planets, chefs give me some advice on which planets are big chef resource planets)

#4 1 field of all 80 fusion (just slapped down pry on lok hows that?)

Are you trying to choose between # 1,2,3, and 4?

So you're going to set up 320 harvesters? THats a lot.

Have you ran static harvesters before? If not then I'd really recommend starting out a bit smaller, maybe 40 or 80 total to start with. Then gauge the market for resources and see how much time it takes you to operate them.

Also, in general: I would recommend sticking to mineral for static mining.

My guild does fusion mining and has done so for 2 years. I've been doing static mining on Oprolan on Sunrunner for about 1.5 year. My mining has been done mostly on Talus but I think it will be more or less the same on other planets.

I found a lot less market for the kind of flora and chemical that you're likely to get out of static mining. I usued to run 1-2 chems or floras and 10-15 minerals and the mineral would sell fine and the chem and flora would mostly sit there.

If you're doing static mining then you're going to mostly get grind quality stuff. Theres little market for grind quality chemical and floral. So you'll be mining a lot of useless grind stuff that nobody wants to buy and once in a great while get something half decent.

Also I don't think fusion will work well with static mining. If you're static mining fusion then I think you'll find that more ofthen than not you'll have a dry spot or a really low %. Fusion jumps all over.Plus once every 1-2 months the planet will be dry of fusion altogether.

Minerals work ok since thers so many options available and you'll usually have at least a 30% spot of ore or a 40-50% density of some grind metal. There is a decent market for grind metal and ore.

Other folks might have other opinions.

I think your pry right on that, I have been thinking about it and decided to go with 60 fusion, 200 mineral, 20 floral, and 40 chemcial. It will be all static yet but now i just must find a nice spot for it all.

For your florals, you might want to consider wood. I believe there is a decent market for wood out there (architects I believe) and I haven't been able to discern any quality consideration in the buying patterns. Perhaps some architect could elaborate.

I do not know of a grind chemical. I would really recommend cutting the number of chem lots and just use themas non-static lots. Five actively placed lots will generate much more profit than 20 static lots of chem in the long run. You can use the lots for extra mineral/flora harvs until you spot some chem worth harvesting.

Architects don't need much wood. We use some for paintings but not a huge amount. Theres also some specific rare woods we need for gardens but those are from worlds like Endor.

Hmmm - Then I may have to talk to the wood buyers. I have never sold huge amounts, but I know that everytime I put a small stack of wood (1-5k) on the bazaar and price it at 3-5cpu, it sells within a couple days. They are just my odds and ends, but somebody buys em. Perhaps it is just the people who don't know how to harvest their own...

While I don't necessarily agree with you, you do realize some people static lots for convenience, right?
