I agree...ahazi peeps are gonna be readin their galaxy trade and community, not here...only the bored go here and need the time and effort to go through with finding out your an Ahazian

I'm with CoV btw and i know i can donate some rare items (bantha toy, r2-d2, etc.) gimme a tell if you want it also i'd have your guild buy these, as it would attract high-paying customers

Luck on it though!

If you want to create this place, because you like the high end boutique ambience, it's a great idea. Best of luck!

If you want to run this place for profit, it's a bad idea, because your items are not searchable, and the whole set up is very inaccessible since it requires you being online. Many collectors just want to find and buy that rare thing and look at it at home in their own guild hall

If the items are very rare, your shop might become known as a place for rare items. But all the items you listed are hard to get, rather than rare. How do you propose to compete with people with better user interfaces for selling the items?

It all depends if the original poster wants a cool shop over a profit-oriented shop. Of course you can have both, but IMO you have to have stuff on vendors rather than as exhibits, because

a) Vendors can be listed and searched from every bazaar in the galaxy. This is like having a brick-and-mortar shop vs offering your merchandise on the internet. Within SWG, potentially every player can find your items 24/7 (well, minus server down times).

b) Vendors allow for transactions all the time, not only when you are online. By doing personal business you limit the potential customer pool a lot.

I do not want to discourage the poster from building his shop - and s(he) will still sell something, I just wanted to point out that (s)he limits the profit potential this way.

I think that you should make your store like a gallery, and not have vendors. Potential Customers contact you to schedule an appointment and you show off your goods, that are on display in your gallery. If they decide to buy it, you just trade it to them, for the amount of credits agreed.

I like this idea because then you can keep your building private. If I ever get over to the ahazi server ill definitely check this out. Seems like a really cool idea, economically and content-wise.
