Thread: Anyone notice...

I don't like the galaxy-wide search function because it totally takes the concept of 'location' out of the picture. Part of running a business is knowing that where you sell your goods is almost as important as what you're selling. The new system is just one big merchant bazaar except that you have to run somewhere to pick up the item. It's dumbing down the game as well.
I think location will still be important because you have to go to pick up the item. I think players will prefer to buy something from a vendor that is close to them, or at least on the same planet, before going to another planet. Hopefully an item's location is displayed in the mainsearch to help reinforce this attitude in players.
I agree though, that it is dumbing down the game. And we will probably see more such changes that appeal to the lowest common denominator. But as long as they don't dumb down the actual crafting process itself, I'll stick with SWG.

Well, it's a fairly obvious move to make SWG economy similar to the really sad Everquest economy. That's a shame, because the SWG economy is its most salient and interesting feature. Ultimately, I expect most serious crafters will become rapidly bored and leave their professions, but I doubt mostpeople will notice.
Yup...
Although it will be entertaining to see all 50,000 items in the "factory crates" section when this goes live... Heck, probably more than that. Just my vendors account for a solid 3 or 4,000 factory crates most of the time.
Because, of course, why would they fix something that's really broken (the category system) when they could instead just re-use old code for a band-aid...
Really, though, I hope thatat leastone really big crafter will stick it out, just to prove the point that this change (even w/out prices being easy to see) will make it even easier to form a monopoly. Not like it would take long to make new stock that includes prices in the item titles, after all...
And, I imagine it'll be entertaining the first time someone who's banned from my shop tries to make a major purchase from the bazaar...
You have to go to the players vendor to pick it up.
Any chance your tune could be based on the percentage of Force power you have available at the time? Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this phenomenon.
no, pure co-incidence.
A few months ago people claimed if you were low on force you tuned better, its all 'old wives tales'.

...a correlation between the amount of Force power you have and what kind of tune you get? Sorry if this has been visited already, but I haven't seen anything on it. I've noticed when I tune several crystals at once, not paying attention to my Force power, the first one almost always tunes the best, and the last ones, regardless of quality, are always junk.

pure speculation. jus like wearing robe meditating at a shrine an rubbin your who dingy while standing upside down.
But thats how I get all my poor crystals to tune to 120/120 -9!

The only way to ensure better quality tunes is to be an attractive female and email me a link to nekkid photos of yourself.
ladies...you'll never know unless you try.
