I only got banned from 2 shops when I was reselling, and they were both crafters. My philosophy is, why do you care, if you got the money you wanted for the item?

I could sort of see an issue, if you were just starting out, and trying to build a clientale. If one person constantly bought out your vendor, and sold for more, and when other people came to your shop and found empty vendors, there might be a problem there.

all of you who are making 'ridiculous' amounts of credits by purchasing (from others) and re-selling..I would bet are the same people who are not liked very much on each of your respective servers.

at some point..people need to have some 'virtual' ethics.

This game isn't all about credits.

Are you having an issue with people buying and reselling items for profit ingame?

Why do you dislike it? Why is it unethical?

Our economy is a capitalist system.

We have Merchants as a profession in the game by design. By definition, merchants buy and sell. Doing so does provide a service by providing goods to people.

Reselling doesn't mean gouging or scamming.

If you think about it, big-time resellers move lots of money around.

its very possible to 'influence' the economy. there is a small group of crafters/entreprenuers on my server that are capable of doing so @ will.

to your points.....if people are 'buying and reselling' ..wouldn't it make more sense for the original sellers to mark up the prices?

having said that..maybe they are pricing their items 'lower' for a reason. so people can afford them.

I always wanted to create a department store chain. Buying the finest goods in the galaxy, and creating a store chain on every world.

A reseller could engage in predatory business tactics. But so could any crafter, merchant or loot seller by gouging or scamming or undercutting or whatever.

Reselling by definition isn't evil. thats my point, someone above seemed to think just being a reseller means everyone must hate ya...

i do this all the time. buy low and sell high, it's just marketing. whenever i see something good that i know is worth WAY more than what it's selling for, i buy it and resell it. i did this on a large scale recently with illegal core boosters on the bazaar, i bought roughly 20 for 10k a piece and resold them for 100k a piece in the course of abotu a hour. a 1,800,000 credit profit. not bad. profit isnt always that good, but sometimes it's even better.
