Actually they cost about the same,,, that's peoples argument who say there is no inflation.

But,,, there are more of them, all with the same value, again showing that the credit lost value.

however!

You bring up a good point, we play a completely different game than we did a year ago.

If a merchant decides to charge more for a product because ...oh say something like the CU happens and most of his competition quits, he might feel tempted to raise his prices because he can.

Looks like you are the one that needs to read the old trade forum threads. I spent an hour reading last summers auctions. I failed to see things selling for 20, 30, 40, 60 million credits. It justrarely happenedback then, unless it was for a jetpack or mando armor. Look at todays auctions and tens of millions of credits are changing hands like they are worth 1/10th as much as they used to.... that's because they are.

Whatever you say, what you are talking about are RARE items that would be expensive regardless, however your normal items are cheaper now than they were a year or more ago. Weapons, harvestors and the like were a lot more expensive then. The prices on those basic items have dropped considerably while the quality of said items have increased.Prior toDec 03 you did see rare items that were in demand go for 20 million or more, just ask a vet that played before the Christmas holocron gifts everyone got.
