Thread: False Advertising

Well, let me just toss this idea out and see where it goes...
Sliced Weapons and Armor are coming off of vendors and the bazaar already, we know that...
What ifany item that:
- Is sliced
A good smuggler can pretty much look at the weapon and tell what slice it needs anyway. There's no problem with putting it on a vendor because you get the "This weapon has been altered by a smuggler . . . " blurb at the bottom of the description.
- Is Bio-Linked or otherwise useable only by a single individual (such as tuned crystals)
I wouldn't mind having a set of armor I couldn't use to have for display purposes.
- Has a Power-up installed (I know they can be removed, but as has been mentioned, this hasled to some ripoffs)
I got fooled once on a pupped gun, but I wouldn't have minded if it weren't for the accuracy penalty--it was my fault for not checking that.
If you're going to learn to play the game, you need to learn to check condition. The best way to learn thatmight bethrough sad experience--I learned the hard way with some armor with insanely low condition. That being said, selling disabled vehicles is considered trade fraud.
- Has zero condition

its the same as people who used to put outrageous entry fees on houses knowing most people would simply hit ok...since they would be used to a 1 credit fee. legal in game but still lame.
i don't know how many times i have seen zero condition weapons on the bazaar for 20k.
so i'm sorry if you got taken, i personally don't condone it. if i put a used weapon up i put a note in the details so people know there is a powerup, in case they aren't looking at the details. but it is rare for me to sell weapons like that.
Well the max fee is 50k. I don't know if you could say it was necessarily outrageous. Some merchants do this to limit who buys their product. A few others refund the money.
the 50k limit was added because of this ... there used to be no limit
a few people hit ok before realizing they just paid out 5 million or more
