I've had pretty good business selling resources via the Galaxy Vendor Search (try to specialize in old high stat resources). Probably made a good couple million. The architect business is lagging though. I'll have to see what happens with that.

Well i don't know about you galaxy but in mine the price of heavy harvs has droped 50% in a day since the GVS went live. From about 100k to about 50k. I know of several arch's who have all ready stoped makeing them due to this.

I gotta get some sleep, but when I come back I'll be dropping my harvester prices by 25%. Guess we'll just have to get used to everyone's prices being about the same. This incidently does make checking out the competition easier. Pawlin puts in a lot of time checking out architect vendors and trying to find out who is active on the server and what the range of pricing is. Turns out my furniture isn't too lowly priced so I'll probably keep it at the same rate. Making lights is still a pain. I think I may consider offering incentives. I'll have to think about it.

I don't like the new vendor search system. It totally destroyes the merchant profession and I'd be glad to see it go away.

With that being said, sales have gone up for me at least 75%. I haven't adjusted pricing, but I am the closest food shop outside Coronet and I think most of my customers are using the distance option when searching for food.

As a customer, I've managed to find an old painting that Icrafted a long time ago. I had been looking tobuy one for several months. I sold the entire factory run when paintings were just coming onto the market, and I dropped architect just after making them, so it meant a lot to me finding the one person that had it for sale.

It sucks...it would be awesome but all you do is keep looking at the Same items over and over and over

Why do you have to keep seeing the same Items...List them and go to next page...I shouldnt have to see 85 of the same items Page after page after Page.

Sometimes i think SOE is retarded...they have a great Idea but they screw it up.

I dont have a hour to go thru pages and page of the Same item I just looked at....Once you go to the next page you shouldnt see the same items you have already looked at.

also all the Names are screwed up..example is I saw a AV-21 schematic...but then why you view it..its a Couch.

Vendor search is a joke. It will have find a small item here and there..but its just to time consuming to keep going thru all the pages seeing the same items.

I can't tell how many new customers I got, but I know, it's more than before. The first customer who found my shop after I switched on the vendors entered my shop 15 min. later (I asked him, since he bought quite a lot of things, which didn't sell for weeks).

Looking at my little sales statistics I can see, I made 2-3 times more revenue than before. Of course, it's a bit too early for a final statement, but at the moment I'm happy about having the galaxy-wide vendor search. Though it needs to be fixed so it's working correctly.

I understand your concerns, but I was hoping for crafter/merchant responses good or bad on their sales results due to this change. Plenty of other threads discussing how good or bad this change is.

I was off-planet and late getting my vendors turned on. I have had about 310k in sales over the weekend; nothing fantastic. No idea if they found me via bazarr or not; I'm an architect, and we don't do repeat business. (unless it's a mayor or guild-leader.)

I did over 20 million in business on the opening 2 days. I had several pretty valuable items that people scooped up pretty quick and now I'm down to about a million a day. Vendor search is most likely how they found me as I didn't change anything besides that.

I was running a test for the value of a steel by pricing 10k bricks at 40 cpu and climbing till i think 130 cpu to see what the value was. I think the highest one got bought. Go figure. I assume it was the poor way the bazaar refreshes.

I did something similar, I priced a product in increments of 1000 credits and found that people were buying the expensive stuff even before the lower cost stuff was gone. But sales were very sporadic and overall I felt something wasn't working right because people seemed to be just buying them at whatever price they could find them.

I've tried looking for BER 13 Heavy Mineral Extractors on teh vendor search and that is a nightmare. Browsing multiple pages trying to find a particular item is really tough, and when you do find it, you'll likely only see 2 or 3 of them, then hope the next page has them as well. For some reason the vendor search tries to summarize what is available down to 100 items on each page. Which means that if only 1 item of something exists for sale, it may appear on EVERY page, but if 300 items of something are for sale that item will only show up 2-5 times on each page.
