Thread: Entertainer's Have NO Credits!
While I agree the new changes have made life for entertainers harder, your post sounds whiny and immature. You sound like you expect to be given money just for being there. I never ask for tips, I earn them. I do what I can to truly entertain the people who come in, and it makes me sad to see people who think the game owes them a living.
If you're truly that hard up for cash, do Entertainer missions. You'd make more than enough money for training. Sounds like the groups your in aren't even worth it, if they're not helping by teaching skills.
Should we have an environment where playersare encouragedto visit us, and are discouraged from AFKing their way through the professions and making our play area unlivable? yes.
Should the game force people to give you money for just being there? no, not if you're not working for it.

usually entertainers are afk, and I still think that in order for a entertainer to get a tip .... well they should entertain.
Anytime I go up to a group ina cantina, I start with 'who is not afk' If I get no response, then I listen/watch someone, until I am done, then I just leave. If I get a response, then I goto that person. watch them, talk, enjoy it, then I tip them. I will NOT tip somebody who isn't friendly. I will NOT tip somebody for being AFK. Thats like getting money whether you goto work or not.
I always tip my entertainers a few thousand credits, as longas I can find one who isn't /afk.
And if they go that extra mile to really entertain people, then I tip them a muchlarger amount. For example:If they are talking to the people watching, putting on a show with a droid or props, singing a song in spatial chat, or even just having a bio that's entertaining to read. Anything that makes the visit to the cantina interesting.
There's nothing more boring than going to the cantina for an inspiration buff, and seeing the same old dance and song routine I've seen a thousand times over the last two years. If you are not going to do anything special to deserve a big tip, than I'm not going to give it to ya. ![]()
Let me get this straight, they give you new props, new dance moves, new effects, a new song and you cite it as part of "Entertainers being Screwed"??
You don't need money to pay an NPC trainer. Theres plenty of masters around to teach people.

New song and dance won't get noticed by most of the populace, and props and effects are good for one visit of "oooh ahhhh" and that's about it. The point was we're being given cosmetic fluff as a replacement for our role within the game, and told "good stuff is coming" How many of you guys would trust a Dev that promised that?
ummm, creature handlers and smugglers have been hearing that for a long time....

But the cosmetic fluff isn't part of the problem. Its still new stuff that should be appreciated. The OP cited it as evidence of how entertianers were being 'screwed'.
I understand the unhappiness about the removal of BF. But the new stuff isn't cause for unhappiness.
the major problem from what i can tell is the same problem that has always been there....afk entertainers
i pay for my inspiration buff (and until recently heal ups) only if the entertainer was there and able to interact with me in some way. usually 5k per buff...same as i used to pay for single stat mind buffs pre-CU
afk people get nothing.
i know i am not the only one who follows this same policy.
there are many times i go into a cantina and find nothing but afk people...in which case, i get a free buff.
spamming "please tip me" does not inspire me to do so ![]()
talk to people and work with them to build up a clientele of sorts and until the afk buffbot issue is no longer in game, perhaps you can make some cash. otherwise, i don't know what to tell you. there have always been fave people on ahazi so i know its not impossible ![]()
