Last night it hit me with a power hammer. My alt is a tailor, and you might know what that means: A vendor full of different items with different prices combined with a low turnover, resulting in expiring sales on the vendor.
I must say, I hate it. Not only that a tailor can't use the factories for making clothes (except for the components), which results in a lot of manual crafting, where other crafting professions can make 1000 items out of a schematic (this is still ok, I knew that when I chose the profession), but having to restock this stuff manually is really a pain. I had about 500 or so sales expiring, and it took me awful lot of time to restock it.
I'd really love to have an option to mark all items in the stockroom and pushing a button "Put them back on sales". While I understand it's neccessary to have expiring sales to get rid of old, unused vendors, I can't understand, why I have to manual restock all items. I can use my online time for much more exciting things than that and I don't see any positive benefit for the game / the players by this manual work.

I don't have anything like the number of items for sale you do and I still find it a pain. The price sticks with the item when it goes to the stockroom - you can see what it was when you examine it, so why there isn't a resell option I don't know.
tbh though, the whole vendor corntol system could do with an overhall - the constat cry for vendor admin control is a worthy one and getting an email everytime I remove an item - I know what I've just done!! - is a pain when u are moving large amounts of stock around as well.
Per chance is this more a merchant forum thread though?

It maybe is, yes. I think this will be the case for some of the future postings in here, as well as in the new housing and city board, there will appear Mayor-profession specific topics as well.
/whipser While the boards are new, maybe the threads get some more attention...

I'm pretty sure tailors can make clothes in their clothing factories, provided you have a private station and all.
What vendors need is the ability to highlight more than one item and sell all the highlighted items at the price you set.

100% agree.
Handling a vendor is a pain. I hate managing my vendor for 3 hours when all old items got back from sales
A put back on sales option with the old price and/or selling more than one item at once would greatly benefit.

Of course I can make clothes in a factory. But I don't want tosew 100 black hotpants, but 10 black, 10 blue, 10 green, 10 white etc. Currently I have about 800 unique articles (different in either typeor color) in my vendors, this would mean I'd have to have the same amount of factory runs - and would need to have stockroom for it etc. Not really efficient.
And I'm surethere are tailors who have more than twice the number of unique articles.
The few things I can do (components, backpacks, black hooded cloaks
) I do already, of course. But tailoring is more about crafting by hand, not by factory.

Just say YES to a "select all" or "drop&drag" highlight option......please? You know if we post enough, something might happen in 8 or so months ladies and gents.

I'm pretty sure that this has been on the Merchant forums top 5 for 18 months.
I fail to see how it affects development of the economy, though, or any of the prefaces for this forum.

Haqin pointed that out already before, but you are certainly right. I don't read the profession boards very often, too much "nerf here, nerf there" threads in them.
Maybe a moderator couldjust deletethis thread please? Thanks.

Dreading when it comes time for re-stock..
Would also love to save the descriptions.
I think you would have much more well-stocked vendors as an indirect result of this enhancement.

Preach on brother!
Try having 3 characters and four elite crafting professions (MDE, MWS, MAS, MD). I could spend every day restocking my vendors.
Restocking almost encourages me NOT to keep a variety of stuff on my vendor since it's such a darn hassle when they rotate off
