Well, I decided to write an article comparing SWG to some real life situations. I don't think people realize what is going on around them, so I'm going to put this into perspective.. Read on if you wish to see what I mean.
Back in the day (well, a month or so ago?), good loot was actually rare. Krayt spawns were extremely rare and Lord Nyax was running on a 3 hour 40 minute timer. People didn't really complain about "camping" because of how rare these spawns were to begin with. Premium pearls would sell starting at 6 million and good attachments would fetch huge amounts of credits. The majority of the people didn't have the "know how" or the will to become rich as it was out of their grasp, or so they thought. So, mainly the crafters had all the money.. simply because that was one of the very few gauranteed ways to make money.
Recently, big changes have swept through the galaxy. Krayt spawns are now extremely plentiful and Lord Nyax spawns every 20 minutes! Finally, people get a taste of "being rich" and greed sweeps through the galaxy. Some people are able to monopolize certain spawns, or atleast make it seemingly monopolized. People yell for bannings, sling pathetic insults, and, well, simply act like little kids.
People post in all the forums saying that "campers" are ruining their "fun". People are lying to themselves and to you, they simply want the good loot. They are jealous and cry for nerfs or whatnot, simply because they aren't succeeding. They think they should be able to loot that uber attachment even though they haven't the best weapon, armor, attachments, and group members. They think they should receive the rewards even though they didn't do anything to deserve them. They think that simply because they pay $15 a month that they deserve to be on the same playing field as someone who has worked to get where they are. Just because you play the game doesn't gaurantee you SUCCESS or riches.
People who work hard or have planned ahead will succeed. People who think no one should be able to be rich and everyone should be equal no matter how hard someone "tries" are COMMUNISTS.
Do you think you'd have the will to do anything in this game if you didn't have a way to make yourself stand out? be better than someone else? have more money? be able to beat someone? Do you?
Are these people I speak of your friends? Is that person you? We must all ask ourselves these questions and then turn them into your local Inquisitor!

The main problem I see with poeple monopolizing hot loot spots is that it actually will devalue high end loot. People trying to sell +8 carbine accuracy tapes at 3 million each when there are thousands of such tapes flooding the bazaars and loot vendors around the galaxy are only wishing to get that. An example of this was I saw a gentle selling a +5 dance wound healing CA for 900k outside the Cnet star port. I traveled out to a vendor in a player city looking for other things and checked a loot vendor in the mall. I found the same tape for only 5k. Now, why would I buy theone tape for 900k when I can get it for 5k (I'm not an entertainer so I wasn't interested in buying it) somewhere else.
The problem isn't with loot camping but the flood of looted items on the bazaar and loot vendors. Too much causes prices to drop and makes rare loot, well, not so rare. I remember seeing a Krayt Pearl going for 7.5 million a few months back, now I see them in loot vendors for around 300k to 500k. Give it a few more months and they will drop down to pocket change (1k or so).

I'm guessing that Wulfcastle is a camper who doesn't want to share, and his hard work is a 3rd party program that logs him in and loots the container he loads in on....?

[BZZZZZTTT - you are the weakest link - bye bye ( j/k )].
Basically when a few of us from our active guild goes hunting we can KS nearly any spawn - even from a bands of jedi, swords, and other rifle man.Yes were all speed capped with 800+ ackleys hammers, and top notch T-21s, yes, we hunt for success, meaning each person puts lot into it.
But we don't KS - a policy we all agree on. If some other crew or person has got to the krayt first, it's theres. NOW with the boom, we let them have the whole spawn point and just move to the next one.
IMHO, it's called manners. I've been hunting krayt since early on in the game and play quite a few mmogs ( currently, CoH, EQ2, WoW, and SWG )...thoughout many of these, there isplayer frustration around this.It's a GAME design issue. Don't make excuses for legacy game design and call it "BECAUSE IM BETTER". The FACT of the matter is, anyone should have the opportunity to TRY - that's why they bought the game. Lemme get this right, if you see some crew or person trying to kill and loot a krayt - you come over and take over them and kill and loot it yourself - that's called preying on people - it's a sociopathic behavior.
I think EQ2 might have it right with aggro locks, but I haven't spent enough time in that game to be sure about it myself. What is for sure though, is that there are better ideas out there for this issue, and SWG doesn't have it right. Don't call that "permission" from SWG and think others stanby and leave their fav game broken in their opinion.

Its a Game Dude...make the game fair for all
I dont agree with you...AFK playing is not how this game should be played. AFK Buffers, Campers ect need to be removed from the game once and for all.

If the game is fair for all what will be the point of playin a diferent character, just make a single class called "waaaaaaa sumone has more than me, not fair"
