I've got to know how people do it. I've tried, I really have, lol I just can't seem to figure it out. People say all the time how they can make 200k-300k in an hour or 2. It seems to be impossible. What would a person whose been playing one maincharacter for 6 months who has no combat skills do for this? A pilot perhaps? I don't really know. Plus I tend to lag a lot in crowded areas, so I want to stay away from this as much as possible. Please, anyone post tips.

Thanks, millionare.

I do not worship The Emperor. I merely admire how he used the corruption of the present to create an equally corupt future that was exactly the same, except, this time, he was in charge.

Not intended as a flame, but please read the other threads in this very forum - There are dozens of suggestions throughout the threads.

I'm nearing my first month on this game here so I'm still trying to make bank myself. The one thing I can tell you is, if you're going to ask a question on here, expect to be told to read the faq, check the guides, and my favorite...search the threads. Don't bother. Most of the guides and tips on here are pretty much the basics drawn out like someone tried to desperatly finnish a last minute book report. Equip the best weapon your certified for, group with a droid or find some friends, and run alot of missions. And don't be shy to sell stuff.

If you're like me though, you'l probably spend as fast as you earn, so realy think about what your investing in before you get it. Most people who tell you they're makeing bank are most likely spending money to make money so be spareing until you're at the point where youcan buff up rake in the goods.

With a Pistoleer/BH Template, and some various other crap, my only "foothold" in the economy is crystals, because I can't go out and harvest the good stuff, and I can't go out and solo the night sisters or the krayt dragons because I can't afford that kind of gear.

That being said, I don't have a foot hold in the economy.

Oh, by the way, I've got 8 variously covered crystals.

Anyone need?

Pilot. You can make more money than you can spend, if you want.

I bought myself a new ship yesterday and got down to 100k credits. After 90 minutes of fighting I earned 20k in credit chips, 50k mission payment andspace loot worthabout 200k. This was done as a rebel pilot 2221.

Asa combat character you can do missions on adventure planets. As a rifleman 21x1 they pay up to 9k for me, solo. If you already got some money, buy harvesters. Place them, whereever you want and harvest whatever has the highest percentage. Sell it on the Bazaar for 2cpu. Someone WILL buy, no matter what quality.

If you know how to do it, you can get millions in a month, even as a total newbie.

The way I started to make big money start almost 2 years ago when I decided to master WS. I thought that this would be enough to rake in the cash, but really basic weapons dont bring in much money. I discovered that I was gonna need to get krayt/acklay/geo compnenets to make the kind of weapons that sell for a lot of money, but one problem at the time the people selling those things charged an arm and a leg, I could barely afford one krayt tissue let alone the 11 it takes to make a T21. Then the jedi update cam out and grenades went through the roof in value. I really didnt catch on to this until the beginning of janurary. I did my first run of 40 crates of Thermals and I put them on my vendor for 25k a crate(lol didnt really know what they were worth) They were gone in 1 day. I had made more money in that one day than I had in almost1.5 years of playing. Then I found out that I was way undercharging so I raised my prices and still couldnt keep them in stock so I kept raising my prices and I am now selling them at 50-75k a crate and I cant keep them in stock. But all this has really allowed me to do was bea ble to spend more money on getting krayt tissue, acklay bones and DE-10 schematics and such, I now have over 150 krayt tissue and over 120 yellow geo cubes, and I can make any weapon in the game. I have about 20 sliced krayt weapons and several sliced acklay weapons on my vendor and I am always adding more. The funny thing is that I have done over 100 million in sales this year and I currently have 12 million in the bank. So the more I make the more I spend.

Oh well wahtever you choose I think the key is going all out in that profession and being the best at that one thing that you can be, wether it is crafter, Ranger, Doc, master looter, whatever you want.

If you have no combat skills then what are you doing now? Are you a crafter or entertainer?

If you have no combat skills and don't want to go that route then there are some basic options:

Pilot - you can do missions in space for a decent amount of money

Mining - drop some harvesters on any steel or ore and sell it on the bazaar for 2 cpu.

Crafting - Go into a craft that has demand and spend some time establishing your business.

Here's a quick and easy guide....

1. Crafting- If you want to make money as a crafter, you need to make sure you are in a crafting profession with a decayable product. Architect items only go away when the character dies....unless they give them to something else....whereas Armorsmiths and Weaponsmiths items decay or are destroyed. The problem is collecting the good resources to make high quality armors and weapons and competeing against people who have been doing these since launch.Chef foods can also be profitable, and Medical Supplies too. If you can stand to sit in front of a starport for hours at a time, Doctor Buffs can earn you 200k an hour...

2. Looting- Looting is broken down into the following parts.

  1. Harvesting for fun and profit. Creature Harvesting can earn cash. Go to SWGCraft.com or other similar sites and check to see what Organic resources are required by what professions. Doctors need Avian Meat, and good OQ PE Avian is a surefire ticket to wealth. Other meats and hides are used by other professions, but you have to do your homework to find out which will sell.

  2. Looting- Loot can come from NPC's and critters. Tissues used in meds, armor and weapons can be sold as well as DOT weapons, force crystals, and SEA's. Ones you don't use for yourself can be sold outright, or auctioned off via your servers trade board.

  3. Missions- Running missions can add extra money to all the above. Again, homework is crucial because you need to know what loot and tissues drop from what spawns. Grouping with pets, droids, and faction pets can add to the difficulty level and hence the payout, but grouping with other players splits the payout, so solo groups are no longer effective EXCEPT to allow you to attack mobs that will drop greater loot, tissues and or harvested organics...

Homework is crucial. Knowing that Klickniksdrop armor and medical tissues but that Dalyrakes don't is important. You may find Guides to Hunting in the Ranger, Scout or Game Guides forums, as well as other websites.

Good luck.

1h weapons 4, equip a damage sliced 1h sword, then go outside coronet, find some meatlumps. Run this macro:

Name: Spin

/melee1hspinattack1;

/loot;

/ui action cycleTargetOutward;

/macro spin

Click on the dead bodies as fast as you can. As soon as you get novice fencer, get it so you can swing faster. Make sure you are deleting worthless items in your inventory (DO NOT DELETE GOOD LOOT, du) so you can keep looting the meatlumps. You can generate 200k per hour in credits by doing this.

Same here. I used to sell weapons by the crate during the hologrinding craze, and managed to get up to about 40 million (by saving money, not spending it). Then I spent most of it on skill tapes, and the rest on mastering shipwright. I managed to makethe money spent on shipwright back byselling missile packs, until the prices bottomed out on them. But then I discovered the grenade craze, and I've made more money in less time selling grenades by the crate than with anything else as a WS. And I too find that the more money I earn, the faster I spend it (just mastered Armorsmith, bought my experimentation tapes andmade my first suit of RIS ). Which is too bad, because sooner or later the Devs will nerf the grenade/combat xp thing, and I'll find I hadn't saved enough, lol. Oh well, I'll find something else to make money with.

I agree with some of the other posters. For a non combat char, the best ways IMO to make money are really either pilot or mining and selling resources. For pilot, I prefer freelance for starting with a low income. The only ship you'd need to buy is a dune lizard at 1/x/x/x. That ship will last you until tier 3 or even tier 4 if you want it to. My favorite easy income mission is from Yavin space station. With decent weapons/shields and some droid programs, you should be able to handle this mission in tier 2. I make a little over 300k/hour with selling all the space loot to a chassis dealer at 1k creditsper level. There are missions that can get you 400 to 500k/hour in tier 4, though, depending on if you sell all the loot or not. I have a shipwright, so I tend to keep more than I sell, but I still make plenty.

I skipped JTL simply because not everyone has it, but it can be the most lucrative by far of all the loot jobs. Filling an empty inventory will net you over 200k in loot and another 20k in credits at the mid-tiers, let alone as an ace....
