oh ya...btw, your exactly right. I can speak for myself..i will purchase anything lower priced than my own. thus, eliminating any competition. that will be the easy part.
If the change goes through, I might very well drop my crafting professions and start buying up undercutter's supplies and reselling them, thus becoming a pure Merchant...which is what I dreamt of when I first mastered Merchant.

thats a good business. one of our servers 'great' ex-merchants did nothing but that. he since quit the game but in the end..was one of the most successfull merchants.
its...really, just the nature of the game.
Actually you won't make a thing. As who will want to buy YOUR resouces when then can have someone esle's cheaper ones. You seem to think ONLY ONE person will sell lower than you or "market" value but its going to be SOO many no one will be able to buy them all out and re sell.

Lol - Mucus will do fine
He works very hard at his trade and don't think for a moment that he is bluffing. On the other hand he has also sold many premium resources at very reasonable prices - usually lower than his competition. And atm, he really doesn't have a lot of big competitors. And he does all this while being one of the nicest people to play the game.

It might not work with resources, but those are so marked up anyway and as long as cross server trading is possible its a squirrly market. But with finished product? I think its very possible to buy out undercutters. I have quite the nest egg and I don't have to buy all of them, just certain products. I'll let others deal with the products they know most about...
I find it hard to understand all this "large-scale/small-scale" jibberjabber. I've never seen a "large scale" crafter. What exactly does that mean? Everyone has the exact same ability to produce as everyone else. Everyone's factories create at the same rate, everyone's harvesters harvest at the same rate. By large scale do you mean someone who works hard and crafts a lot? Whats bad about that?
Crafting groups or guild crafters? Everyone has that ability to, to join forces with others. No one is going to corner any market. I swear that every time a crafting change comes up there is always someone who claims that markets are going to be cornered...

BTW, I'm one of the little guys. I'm all for price listings on bazaars.

i like the idea of buying out the competitors and then selling them at my price - if i dont do it, some1 else sadly will
You're right. This is the best and only plan to prevent this. The dark jedi council should control all commerce and property. That way they can ensure the equity in the masses and prevent the abuse of the prolitariat.
