Thread: STORAGE SPACE INCREASE for crafters PLEAASE!
How about raising the resource limit from 100,000 to
500,000 per stack ?
I don't know if this would help your situation, but
it could be a start.
I would LOVE that!

Begging for storage space. Argument is simple.
Space in game with dwellings etc. is very nice for those that are not crafters. Master Merchant to store resourcesis still very limited with capping capacity on a continual basis. Totally imbalanced for an avid crafter with large aspirations. For those dinking around with the game and new it never matters since they don't hit the cap, but those that have been around for a while are getting screwed.
Adding a bonus of increased resources only capacity as we gain crafting skill would be wonderful.
The logic of capping the vendors and then a month later and continuously adding new loots to the game is mind boggling. I continually ask who the heck the moron is that is doing this kind of thinking.....they sure don't seem to actually be a game player. I do speak of the vendor modification from when the 4k cap was instated........it was horrid then and is horrid now. It definately makes sense that to have a vendor you must be a merchant. No argument there, BUT that cap was a joke then and it still is.
Guess I have to start asking, though since crafters are not the squekiest wheels in the galaxie, suppose I'll just keep getting screwed by developments until I finally have enough to end the depression. Of course I would love to have an improvement that is really a positive revamp instead of a nerf titled a revamp.
Please have some concern for those that work hard to provide good products for players and would like to be able to stock large amounts of creations rather then spend majority of vendor space on managing resources. Please give us a resource management option that holds storage and allows us to have houses with items and vendors with items of good variety.
Thanks for the consideration, and some effort on this would be much appreciated by a large silent population I am sure.
It is making me crazy they add all these special ingredient requirements to Armorsmith and I have no place to put all my stuff.
I have 2 houses and 2 factories and everytime I try to store something.... "This house is Full..." atleast some of the time the other it just says "This container is full...." and you have to figure out for yourself it is the house. We need bigger storage or perhaps the addition of a resource only warehouse?
I mean come on as it was said previously we need to use some logic here... components for armor we got fibreplast panels, reinforced fiberplast, synthetic cloth, armor padding ..............
of course because some of these are used in all armor you are going to run them off in lots of 1000 which is broken down into crates of 25 to 50...
20 - 40 x 4 = 80 - 160 spaces right there... then there are armor segments - recon, battle, assault... then there are layers each segment cant take up to 4... so that is 4000 layers for 1000 segments.... then ingredients....
avian bones, normal bone, netronium steel, carbonite steel, duraloy steel, this steel, that steel, the best steel of this resource spawn, Copper, this extrusive ore, that exstrusive ore, this intrusive ore, that intrusive ore, naboo fiberplast, Danth fiberplast, Corellian fiberplast, gravatonic fiberplast, the good fiberplast of the week, Done forget aluminum we need about 3 different kinds of that too... polymer, this amorphous Gem, That Amorphous Gem, this crystal gem, that crystal gem, Endorian Conifer, Endorian evergreens....
Now bout some hides... scaley, Bristly, leathery, wooly... Lokian leather, Nabooian bristly..................... Then we have not even touched augmentation pieces, Cores and PSGs (PSG alone has another 4 or 5 parts that could be run of in lots of 1000)
Come on guys I don't mind gathering all the stuff but atleast give me the space to store it until I get everything together...

i wonder if the devs do not see things like my factories being on traded lots and me having 5 100k stacks of something is in no way different from having 1 500k stack.
The developers have now stated at 2 Fanfests in a row that they have not, will not and prob never willincrease resource stack size.
Their reasoning is that while somebody might just turn 5 100k stacks into 1 500k stack, that would most likely be the exception as most players would just hoard 5 500k stacks instead.

The Devs stated at some point that they would not make the resource stacks bigger to avaoid hoarding. I guess they like to keep your storage limited to a degree. They are hoping that if you want to store more, you will just buy more accounts.
Again, SOE logic that makes now sense if I had reason or was going to resource hoard... I would go out and spend the extra $15 a month to have a 3rd account and just place houses with it or whatever Building holds the most... and Hoard resources in them. But instead us crafters are forced to choose between house or Harvestors... The only thing this plan of the DEVs supports is resource brokers making it harder for the Crafters to harvest their own resources or store them depending on choice... making them more reliant on resource brokers.... Of course maybe that is the plan...
resource brokering does support a player based economy. the real problem with regards to the system is getting basic player greed under control. a reasonable player economy based on better pricing for materials would make a large difference I think. Every crafter, though runs into the problem of having to pay a high price for materials, and thus charging a high price for goods.
The one thing that rings true about the player based economy is that it's just as screwed up as the economy of real worlds. ![]()

Soit would be nice but it's not gonna happen.Message Edited by Oggram on 06-20-2005 09:57 PM
I'm slightly lost with this reasoning. How would they magically multiply by 5 the amount of resources they have, or would gather?? To do that they would need 5 times the harvesters. If they were that intent on having 5 times as much they'd have it anyway.
And it's not as if they would buy a load of resources because they can now stack in 500k units. Even if they did buy, it's just moving a stack from one player to another.
Crafter specific storage building would be nice. For Architects as well. The fact is, if people want more storage now they just do a lot trade. This just makes the landscape more cluttered.
