Thread: Docs have gotten greedy or what ?

Being a master doc myself, I understood their plight having to pay tons for meats. I quit 4 months ago and returned 3 days ago determined to not get bored again. To do this, I dumped my entire template to try some new stuff. I tried selling my crates of buffpacks to a few docs i saw buffing.
I first tried selling a 2 pack crate of buffs....60 charges in all. Doing the math, x15 thats 900k profit...maybe more considering these are primo buffpacks. The doc was selling 2590 stats with 2hrs 45 min time on them. Mine are good for 2601 and 3hrs 20 min (apparently since ive left no decent meat has shifted in). Anyway, figuring he'll make 900k on them, I offered to sell them for 500k, giving him a 400k profit for doing nothing basically. He turned me down, even after I lowered my price down to 350k. Said he only paid 200k for more in a crate than what I was offering.
After dumping those on bazaar (sigh) I moved onto the next doc I saw. I offered up my best stuff...crates of 25, 30 per charge, 955 power (basically 2610+ stats) and 3hrs 25 min timer. Way better than what he was selling...anyway doing the math 750 charges x15k = 11.25 million credits. Again I thought I'll offer a nice deal and asked for 5 million. He said he wouldnt pay more than 2 million for them.
Am I missing something since my absence ? I recall paying roughly half of what I would make back always when I bought buffpacks. If they cost 2 million, the charges would add up to 4 million and that was selling buffs at 10k. Now I see all docs selling buffs for 15-20k and the quality is worse than before. So let me get this straight, less quality buffs (not by much though), selling for 50%-100% more, and docs are paying 5 times less for the packs now ??? What the heck is going on ?

I think so. I've seen some ridiculous bufferage for some crazy price...like 2100 for 2 hours for 15K. What the heck?
So I tend not to do the buff lines and give my business to the chefs. I guess though, being 99% PVE, I have that choice...PVP folks are SOL.

everyone has maade buffs apart of their and are basically willing to pay whatever price docs are charging. i agree tho i saw 3 people in coro selling 2hr buffs 2200 and other ridiculous prices for crap buffs.

instead of trying to peddle them off to the docs who are buffing....
Why not goto your TRADE FORUM
or find one of these stores that supposedly sells them for cheaper and if it's fact then you'll be stuck with them, otherwise people are just pulling your leg because you're so willing to tellem you just got back from a break and don't know what's going on......

Sorry but in my experence docs have ALLWAYS been greedy. Buffs on my server where going for up 50k at one point. Now thankfull their down to more senseable prices of 12 to 17k But somepeople are still trying to charge 20 to 25k. I refuse to pay more than 15k. This has nothing to do with how much money i could earn dureing the buff time or any thing else. I just don't think thier worth any more than that and therefor won't pay it

I havnt exactley senn any GEEDY buffers, iv all seen is the regular 15k for the 2 hour buffs.....
but thats just me:

That's all going to depend on your server - On Radiant, i'm fairly used to paying 9k for 2500 3.5 hour buffs.

They are easily worth what you were asking.

I sell buffs that are about 880-910 power, 12600 duration, 27 Charges, 89 Med Use at a price of 20,000 credits per unit. You were definitely not overpriced considering the quality of your buffs.

The price I can accept cause I was a master doc too and frankly hated sitting there for hours at a time. However what I dont understand is why I cant sell those packs for less than half of what a doc would make back. C'mon, 11 million worth of buffs minus 5 million to me = 6 million profit for doing zilch...no crafting, no paying through the nose for meats, no waiting on factory runs, no hoping that hunter comes through, etc.

I have a Master Doctor on 2 diffrent servers (So thus 2 diffrent economies). I charge 14k on both servers for basically the same stats, 2300 for 3:30. Now I make these buffs myself on Scylla. So I don't have all these scouts to go out and bring me in the top notch resourses, so I have to use bivoli or else the buffs will only hit 2088, Thus the problem. People are discouraged by numbers that small. I don't Exactly call myself "greedy" on this bases, If you think of it logically: Inflation works in Real Life, just as it does in this game. Everything goes up in price over time. So thus the doctor in order to make a living has to raise his prices to keep up with the thriving market. This is just how I've figured it out. You may call me greedy till your green in the face for all I care, This is just the logic I work by.
