Thread: Dizzy/Lunge, doesn't work. . .

Okay, I'm at One-Handed III, working my way up to One-Handed IV. Using Dizzy/Lunge doesn't seem to be working for me. Here's what I do:

I have One-Handed Dizzy on F8, One-Handed Lunge on F7, and One-Handed Body Hit on F6. I hit F8 twice, F7 twice, and F6 a few more times after that.

Frequently, the enemy is dizzied on the first dizzy, if not, they generally will be on the second. I've noticed, though, that the two lunges, while generally forcing them to kneel, apparently cause the dizzy to immediately wear off. Sometimes, when both lunges are dodged/miss, the dizzy remains for quite some time.

Is this a bug, or what? Has anyone else noticed this?

Last night, I noticed Sith recovering from dizzy upon posture down. Annoying, as Swordsman doesn't have a true KD...

"Cause it to wear off" meaning they stand back up again?

If so, dont do a second posture change until the first times out... if it sticks a second one will pop them right back up again.. you need to wait til they either are clearly not affected or after the posture chage/KD wears off.

Not quite it.

I hit them with Dizzy. They little Dizzy icon shows up on their bar.

I hit them with Lunge. THey get pushed to kneeling, and the icon on their bar changes accordingly. At the same time, the Dizzy icon goes away.

That's definately wierd.. I will have to go play with lunge and see what it does for me now..

If you're using One-Handed, moving on up to Fencer, Fencer has two more dizzy hits, so that's just a weak dizzy attack, moving on up to Fencer, that'd make it a more success rate, with a longer lasting state stick.

I admit that Dizzy 1 certainly isn't the greatest.

But it does last past my next hit if my next hit is NOT a lunge. WHen I lunge and drop their position, the Dizzy effect immediately wears off.

Sinara's right, It's probably because it's a really low level dizzy attack. When I was a low level, I would fail alot too, even if I lowered their posture on the first try, the dizzy would wear off within another one to five seconds.

I'm also currently lv 3 and I notice that dizzy1 barely sticks. I was doing dizzy 1, unarmed blind, unarmed stun, then back to the gaffi so that I could get the one-handed XP. By the time I got my gaffi back in my hand, dizzy had worn off. I've put dizzy at the end since then and it works out much better.

Also, one-handed lunge almost never works for me in the posture down category.

Okay, I'm not trying to argue, but this is what I've noticed:

I hit them with one-handed dizzy 1, then don't do a posture change: THe dizzy stays for quite some time, easily four or five more hits.

I hit them with one-handed dizzy 1, then lunge. They go to kneeling, and the dizzy icon immediately disappears.

The dizzy icon ONLY immediately disappears after a lunge that changes their position. Apparently, it's bugged, because a Voritor was dizzy/posture downing me earlier this evening, and it worked just dandy for him. . .

Yeah saw this same thing happening last night when I was running a mission on Naboo. Was working on a spinoflap guard and doing the usual, 1-hand dizzy1, 1-hand lunge1, 1-hand body, by the time 1-hand body went to hit the dizzy was gone, sucked, so i changed my line up to 1-hand lunge1, 1-hand dizzy1, 1-hand body or just plain vanila attacks and this worked out much better and the dizzy and posture changed stuck longer.

So is our posture down and dizzy broken as a 1-2 hit, for one hand melee? I was going to go to the fencer board to post but saw this thread instead.

I sure hope this isnt another thing broken since the publish, can we say warcry.

Warcry, see I knew you could.
