First we would like to thank you for your continuing patience. The

Correspondent program is trying a while to get up to speed. As soon as we

get our new internal contact hired, things will get much better. Until then,

thanks for putting up with our irregular contact.

One of your requests that we would like to honor asap is for special Test

Center characters. Please create a character on Test Center and email us the

name of that character. In the next week or so, we will place special

terminals on Test Center to allow your character to get experience in the

profession your represent. We still don't want to give free xp to any player

on Test Center because it allows players to bypass playing the game to see

the higher end stuff. However, we want to make an exception in your case

because clearly you have earned your skills in your profession and also

there is a ton of value to you checking our fixes to your profession first

hand.

Again, thanks for bearing with us during this difficult time.

Guess I gotta put my main on hold for a while. So, what I want from you guys is this. Post one thing, and one thing only to this thread that you are having issues with, and I will test it and document it myself. Then I will let you know the feed back I get about it.

Unarmed Brawler:

Damage Per Second vs All Con Levels

I feel that this is far inferior to every other combat class in the game. This affects:

Experience Solo
Experience in a Group
Damage Taken
Downtime
Credits expended to fight (tips/stims/etc)
PvP viability

This one issue can either make or break us as a profession. We already have to deal with multiple HAM bars on an enemy, doing less damage just makes it even worse. You might also try this with and without VK's since most unarmed brawlers use them uncertified for the speed boost.

I want to prove that we are underpowered once and for all.

BTW, I'm going to make a Human or a Bothan.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that sees this rather obvious problem. I've nothing further to add Declarent seems to hvae it covered

"Post one thing, and one thing only to this thread that you are having issues with"

- My only issue is in regards to PvE kiting and this new timer on Position Change moves.

- Isthis timerviable against Ranged NPCs? What I see happenning is:

1) NPC starts to kite

2) You perform a position change (lunge for instance) and he stops

3) You close the distance and take a couple potshots at him

4) NPC gets up and proceeds to kite again

5) You must now follow the NPC until you can position change him again to close the distance and attack

- I'm worried that with the new timer I will be following this kiting NPC, with no ability to retaliate, for >20 seconds (during which I'm getting pounded by his gun )

- My primary concern is the unarmed skill set, but I'm sure its the same with all the melee skills

I don't think you should have posted this, personally. Not because we shouldn't converse to our communities, but rather because I think this will make people consider us to be team leads, instead of just "voice for the community".

My Reply: (in one word)===> ***BALANCE*** There is absolutely no reward vs risk for the brawler compaired to a marksman. I'm an EXPERT marksman and working on Tera Kasi Novice (almost two brawler slots higher in comparision to the marksman) I can do shots for over 1500 with my laster rifle. I can't do 1/4th that dammage as a brawler now that I'm nerfed to oblivion(with or without vibros/beserked). Ham costs suck compaired to the marksman too. (ham cost/dammage ratio) Where's the BALANCE?

Willynh, your issue is a TKA issue, or Unarmed Brawling issue. The other melee lines do much better damage than marksmen, assuming we can get into range. This is excluding the incredibly overpowered "T21 shot every second" Master Riflemen.

My issue is that we don't get enough bonuses at Master Brawler. We should definitely receive bonuses of +10 or so for defense vs knockdown, stun, posture change (down), blind, dizzy and intimidate. We're master brawlers, right? Also, +10 melee defense would be more reasonable than +5 that we get now.

Knock-downs are my big issue:

  1. How bad will the new knock-downrules hurt?

  2. WHY is there no bonus when hitting a knock-down NPC?

A non-testable issue:

WHY DO ALL BUT 3 MELEE WEAPONSONLY DO ONE TYPE OF DAMAGE? WILL EVER GET BLUNT, SLICE AND PIERCE DAMAGE?

"having VK certification back to novice brawler where it belongs"

- Perhaps adding more Knuckler weapons would be an even better solution. I think we are the ONLY fighting profession which has only ONE weapon type.

- Either they take the weapon out entirely and increase our true unarmed damage to match

- Or they need to add in a variety of "unarmed" weapons that they can certify at each level of Unarmed tree.
