I got the spice and dirty fighting lines finished already, im almost done with slicing. I also havn't done any pvp yet, not sure if i will, but sure ill give it a try. Is it worth doing the Underworld line just to get master.

So far im loving the DF line, spices are so so. Slicing is a great way to make money, but have not been doing it much lately. I get to bummed out getting 6% effectivness slices on really nice composite armor, and was hoping that Master would help that out (even though i don't see anything in the description of master that says slices will be better, just what i hear from others).

So what do you think? Is master worth it?

It sounds like you enjoy slicing weapons and armor for money; therefore, I would say it is worth it.

I have come to this profesion via my Xmas Holo, and I have to tell you, I really like it. My question is, after I Master it, is it worth it to stay at master? How much more effective are you at Master Commando than you are at Flame 4?

answer is no.

but if you really liked it, id suggest you keep it until the upcoming combat review is over. if soe screws us over again you can drop with little regret then.

In the long run yes..at the moment...no. All proffessions will be "overhauled" in the future to make it so only masters have the best of the skills.

I'm curious about the use of the word "again" here. what, you think the current status as hands down the most powerful PvE class is you getting screwed over?

Well i'd hardly consider them the most power PvE class, i've mastered commando and i've mastered rifleman and asa rifleman i was able to PvE much better and never get agro.

again as in...

before not even the flamethrower was worth using.

then it became worth using...

shortly thereafter we got screwed with 2.5x penalty.

now 2.5x penalty gone, our other weapon lines are not worth using still.

'shortly thereafter' , aka, soon, aka in combat review, following this pattern, we will likely get another screwing.

and i bet the other weapon lines will either remain as useless or soe will 'fix' that by making the flamer AS useless so those other weapons suddenly become..used!

Thanks for the feedback guys, I hear what you're saying. I haven't found anyone that makes the consumable weapons yet, although in truth, I haven't looked very hard. Before commando, I came from Bounty Hunter, and the one thing that bothers me about commando is the lack of damage types I get to do. I use my Flame even against creatures with 70% heat resist just because I don't have anything else to use. I havent got any acid rifle boxes yet, so maybe then I'll do better.

I don't know anything about the grenades though, do they do diff damage types? or just blast?
