Thread: is master worth it?

Is it currently worth it...it's hard to say...depends on what you want out of the game...

If you want to do well pve, yes...if you want to do well pvp, no....

And if you want a well working profession sooner rather then later...no...

With this type of outlook, why am I a Master Commando? Because I really enjoy the profession...+25 Melee Def is nice at Master as well expecially for pve...It also comes down to how I dabbled my remaining skill points...I chose TKA because the 2 professions really compliment each other (again PvE mainly).

As far as I know there isn't one perfect profession out there...everyone feels something is lacking from their profession and often have their choice on Master called into question. Personally I'm not a Master Commando because of what we have now, but because of what we are suppose to be and what is hopefully yet to come...

So if you like the profession and have patience, go for Master...if you just like certain aspects and want satisfaction sooner rather then later, drop everything but the flame tree and dabble elsewhere your remaining pts...you'll get everything you pretty much like about Commando from that one tree unfortunately...

im already tkm and master swords and gonna leave it at that for me, i just want to know, should I bother to get master brawler? is the speed for swords and the intimidate 2 and lunge2 for swords and tkm worth it? just trying to find out if its worth the small grind.

Yes. I would say it is. Int 2 lasts alot longer, Lunge_2 has a chance to knock down and comes in pretty handy with kiters. With your templet being all melee I suggest you pick it up.

It's definitely worth it for intimidate 2 and the 20m knockdown. But all the extra speed and skill mods are very nice also.

I have a TKM/Master Sword/Master Brawler template and the master brawler piece is invaluable. Lunge2 and Intim2 are simply awesome. I can lunge2 for KD and then headhit3 for around 5k of damage when they're KD using my hammer.

Well, I just finished Flamethrowers 4 and my original plan was to stay there, but I've had alot of fun with commando and I'm considering going master. So I'm wondering, is it worth it to master? I've heard almost all the other weapons are broken, so I'm not sure what to do.

Recommendations?(sp?)

Master currently only gives a slight boost to accuracy...other then that, FlameCone2 is nice, but most of us take the Master box for the title "Master Commando" and the promises of what's to come...

If you don't want to Master Commando then I always suggest you don't do it...I also suggest, if you aren't going all the way to Master, that you also not currently take the Acid tree...use those points somewhere else more productive.

In the post CU environement, all of our trees will impact ALL of Commando...the more boxes of Commando you take, the better Comando you will be...so things will be very different (i.e. if you take the Acid tree, you'll improve yourself with the FT as well as all of our other weapons)...
