Thread: Changes to Berserk effect Berserk2?
Do they? Here's the changes -

Changed berserk to be a 75 point damage increase instead of double base damage
Decreased berserk costs slightly
Fixed double berserk spam
fixed berserk sometimes stopping combat loop
The last 3 lines i have no problem with, BUT does Berserk2 Have a 75pt dmg increase? THat would be TOTALY lame, and i dont believe it should, if you spend 70k x 4 to get Master Brawler and all it does is improve your damage by 75 pts, and never fails, thats totally lame, it would be useless. Even if it was double, at 150, it would be useless.
Did these changes to berserk, effect BOTH berserks???, Spaz, can you clarify?
It makes low level brawlers really powerful and high level brawlers really weak?
Seriously, a 75 point damage bonus on your newbie survival knife is like becoming a tiny god of gnort killing prowess. Against higher creatures, it's just useless. I mean, I hardly berserk as much as I used to anymore because I'm too buzy eye gouging, dizzying and knocking down, and being ready for when I have to knock something else down to help people not die. But now... I'll prolly just drop my master brawl and pick up other melee classes for the defense bonuses.
I agree wholeheartedly with you, criznag. I worked my arse off to get Master Brawler. The Brawler tree is ridiculous to climb even once, and doing it 4 times is enough to drive a saint mad. Luckily I am in love with intimidate2 - it really works well - guess it will be nerfed right after berserk/berserk2. Can't have the melees get too cocky now can we, hehe.
Nerfing berserk (1 or 2 or both)is a hideous mistake, I feel. I think we'll see even less brawlers once a nerf goes in, as it will be even harder to climb that tree.
If you want melees out of the **edit** game, just say so SOE. Be direct! Don't drive us all out of the melee classes by making them crappier by the week because you won't admit you can't figure out how to balance a ranged vs melee fight.
/agree that nerfing berserk is lame. Melee folks had it tough enough as it was. Hopefully, the powers that be will reconsider the affectsto berserk 2. Anyone hear a reason why berserk was nerfed (again)? Brawlers were to badass or somthing?
On the bright side, you will always hit for at least 76 points when beserked ![]()
My belief, and logically, i dont think these changes will effect Berserk2. Theres just no reason for it too. Its in a master tree, and it literally cannot do an extra 75pts of dmg. Just would be unfair to us, and it just doesnt seem logically. Its too bad that Holocron is so vague on everything, he also doesn't seem to grasp the concepts of "format." The in-Dev. page is mixed up, in no order and no markers to show you the difference between one change and another change. I think it was a sloppy job done by Holocron.
Anyways, i dont think Berserk2 will be nerfed. There is just no logic behind it being a 75pt dmg buff. Its just too less, and then no point of going up to Master Brawler then. So, in regards, i hope, and i don't think Berserk2 will be nerfed.
I ask the Brawler Coresponded to shed light on this issue for it effects all brawlers. By the way? where is the man? Havn't seen him active lately on this post or on any other posts. I guess he realized were a doomed profession.
Could i get an offical response to this thread to end my curoisty as we near the end of using Berserk?
Does the Berserk changes upcomming in the BIG PATCH effect Berserk2???
