I had -3500 jabba faction to start with, so I went to Wayfar and took valarian mission after valarian mission.

It was a drawn out affair, but if you get the 2600 cred missions, you can make about 200 jabba faction per, I think.

On the upside, I got to break out my old curved sword that i used to get to one handed IV! The specials are much prettier than the gaffi, and I wasn't keen on wasting condition on the pipe on valarian skulls.

Anyway, I got in with 32 jabba faction, and it took me the better part of an afternoon to get it (complete with slacking and chef grinding)

Here is a trick that can make it go faster. I am not sure that it isn't an exploit though, it's in sort of a gray area.

Take 2 Valarian missions in the same direction at a similar distance. Try to get them about 300-500m from each other. Kill all the mobs that spawn from the first one and leave the base and travel to the second one. Kill all the mobs that spawn from the second one and leave the base and travel to the first one. By now the mobs around the first one will have respawned and you can kill them again. This works about 3 times and then you need to go back and get new missions. It's certainly a lot faster than traveling 1km over and over from a city.

My Rantok was stolen. It was last seen in the hands of an AFK holo-dancer. Even worse, it was a male character wearing hotpants. Unsightly!!!

Put the sword in your backpack, walk up to the droid and tell him "sorry I cant do this right now". Then after he removes the quest from you, get the quest again and go get another sword. You can do this as many times as you like. When you get tired of doing it, just leave one rantok in your inventory and complete the quest.

Gonna bring this thread back. I would like to know that stats on this sword as well. is it worth doing the missions just for the sword? I would like to do them for the jabba factor alone, but if the sword is good, that makes things even better.

Thanks!

The stats arent all that great, its mainly a sword for show. I'm not sure what they are but I did the jabba quest so have seen them and they were nowhere near as good as my gaffi. As a blademaster I certainly wouldnt use it in a fight, but, I would really like one as a house decoration. Just wish I'd kept it the same way I kept the petrified egg on an earlier mission.

Rantok Sword

Damage: 45-150
Wound Chance: 20.00

Maximum Range: 4.0
Range Attack Mods: 10/10/10
Attack Speed: 3.3

I've got about 5 of these that I was going to get sliced for damage. With the +10 attack bonus I thought they could be useful but...The latest changes to Combat and I don't need any bonus to hit anyone, anymore

Well, I told you once, told you twice.
I told you before.

I don't see why anyone would want to waste their time and/or credits on such garbage as a Rantok. They don't have any advantage over a Vibroblade and they take more work to get. The only good thing about them is that they look cool...

Hehe they make good display pieces, and we all know that Krayt Skulls were worth millions a while ago! People still buyi paintings and such. Yah... Master Weaponsmith should be able to make this, the stats are crappy, ah well there are many other things regarding the Fencer profession that needs to be fixed! (Like our speed cap, and other crappy weapons)
