I read this board often but don't post too much, but i'd just like to say, when the warcry nerf was first let out, Gabriel, MasterOfCombat, and others were quick to step up and say "don't worry guys we're gonna fight tooth and nail to get something to either lessen this nerf or get something to make up for it" now i know i just used quotes but that's a general attitude i don't feel like digging up the old posts to see exact quotes.

Now it seems like you guys have accepted it, bent over, and taken it. Now i know you are just correspondants and can't tell soe how its gonna be. Come on though, this needs to be another way. The cone effect "mez" effect is gonna be worthless. You guys couldn't get them to change it to AoE before it goes live? or make the effect last longer (20 second mez is gonna be lame, considering any attack will break it, dunno why it can't be a lot longer) I posted saying how happy i was to see you guys fighting for us in there but now it seems like you've given up. Now if the devs just told you "screw off, this is how its gonna be" that's not your fault, but come on you can't possibly truly believe that this isn't that bad. This is horrid. TKA is KNOWN to be the most overpowered melee, if not the most overpowered overall. They have yet to see a nerf in multiple patches, and now we get hit losing one of the few things that could stop that kd/dizzy crap? I mean what dev plays a TKA and therefore babies it like this? TKA is the goldenchild of these game and I dunno about anyone else but i'm sick of the "monk" class in games being the top notch class. I mean, he's unarmed. You don't see armies of kung fu guys winning wars in any realistic setting. Tired of all the neo-wannabes getting their way while the other profs have to suffer.


anyway that's my rant, and I guess a shortlist of what i'd like to know is:


Correspondants: You guys always bust ass, and now with this one its like you've 180'd on the opinions...is this forced or what (not that if it was forced you would be able to say so)

Well they're thinking about making it an AoE mez, but it's too late to put in this publish. Nothing left to do but wait and see.

This was no different from the Carbineer KD with no Timer, or the TKM KD a long time ago that also had no timer. People pick up the professions to exploit the bugged/overpowered specials for as long as they can before they're nerfed. Warcry2 was ridiculious, you could sit there and scream at a ancient krayt dragon and it would "freeze in its tracks" and not be able to attack you for 20 seconds, how does that make any sense? Intimidate was also overpowered, in no way at any time should a normal player be able to intimidate a krayt dragon, it just doesnt make sense.

This may have been answered already but in the publish notes Warcry2 enrf is being addressed as a correspondent issue. My question is why did you feel it necessary to nerf? In the new incarnation Warcry is absolutely ridiculous and useless. If a critter isnt attacking you then so what if you can warcry it? Its usually WHEN you are being attacked that you need warcry.


You have successfully stripped a potent tool to be used in combat, both in pve and pvp, away from the profession I thought you, as a correspondent, would be working to bolster not weaken.

So just because they have some overpowered abilities it is justified to keep Warcry overpowered too?
