YEAH WHY ARE THE BEST PROFS IN THE GAME MELEE?? I MEAN THE GUN USED MOST IN THE MOVIES ARE PISTOLS AND CARBINES YET THESE 2 PROFS ARE NEARLY THE WEAKEST COMBAT PROFS IN THE GAME
You should've been around right after launch when pistoleer was the premium prof in the game. A pistoleer/smuggler owned everything. There wasn't a useful melee prof in the bunch. Then TKM got fixed, and it was way overpowered. Then fencer defences got fixed, and fencer started to own. For awhile commando's were overpowered. Even today, rifleman are one of the most powerful progessions in the game.
The guns were used most in the movies, but from what I recall, no one could ever hit anybody. So they were used often, but were very weak. Sorta like how they're weak in the game. Now had you mentioned BH, who uses both pistols and carbines, being too weak given their role, I would've agreed 100%.
So I suggest you look at the whole progression, not just the here and now, and look at upcoming changes.
