Thread: Wow! Did you know that you can become a Master Swordsman/Teras Kasi Master/Master Fencer
Musashi did develop a sword style useing two Katana, Although as I recall he never actually used that style againts anyone in any of his duels as he considered it unfair. He did take a wooden boken that he carved from a boat oar while rowing out to an island for a duel and proceded to slayhis foe, usinghis wooden stick

and Miyamoto Musashi, author of the classic "book of five rings," most certainly DID dual wield.
The game really does need a duel wielding class- the term ninja or samurai shouldnt have anything to do with that - fighting with 2 weapons gives an immense advantage and should be included in the game, not only for realism, but also because itsa great gaming addition ( anything that would make a game more enjoyable, without ruining existing balance and context ) - besides - anakin wields 2 lightsabers for 1 or 2 hits in episode 2 - so its not like it doesnt exist in the universe...
As forShinmen Musashi ...
"Everybody ever called him a "God of Katana". Musashi is the most famous Katana master in edo era. At the age of thirteen, he defeated the great Katana master Arima. After then he went on a long trip to train himself. On his way he had many Katana fights against other masters and defeated all of them. He beat Seijuro Yoshioka in Kyoto, Hozoin in Nara and Kojiro Sasaki -the master of Tsubame Gaeshi- in Kokura. Musashi used his long sword in his right hand, and the short in his left. This style is called "Nitten Ichi Ryu" (two heavens as one, way) and he started the school of this swordsmanship. He also wrote a book "Gorin No Sho" to hand down his sword technique after he retired in 1645." ( http://www.samurai-store.com/cafe/week/week2.html![]()

Try telling that to my Iaido Sensei, or to Sensei Yama**edit**a.
He's right though, they didn't DUEL wield, they DUAL wielded. Of course that's probably not what he meant...

But a Pirate with Lasers could take the ninja any day. YAR!
For reference www.realultimatepower.net
I like that...a new hybrid profession...Pirate. When the new space expansion comes out I think it would have awesome roleplay possibilities. Smugglers well smuggle stuff..but pirates could hijack and loot space yahts, etc.
/say YAR! Now walk into that airlock.
/emote pokes some sniffling yaht captain in the arse with his blade

Brawler and Marksman? Stab people with your sword or shoot them with your musketoon?
Anyways, Hippos > Pirates > Ninjas. It says so in Hammurabis Code. You cant really dispute cold hard facts like that...
One handed melee weapons and pistols should get dual wield in my opinion....
Also, how would there be a SAMURAI in STAR WARS? A Samurai, by definition, is "a member of a Japanese feudal warrior class practicing a chivalric code" (This came from the Merriam-Webster Dictionary). Keyword in there is JAPANESE. I could be wrong, but I don't recall a "Japan" being anywhere in Galaxies.
A warrior that fights like a samurai could fit in Star Wars, but not an actual Samurai class ![]()
